That blind fumble for the coffee before death was so well timed! There's a few ways of getting snow stalker fur, which I'll put below in case you'd rather find out for yourself.
Approach one with a spy pengling to take its fur, or you can find pieces of fur in caves that they inhabit.
I may have accidentally read the section below, my fault for skipping past the spoiler warning xD but in fairness I have since forgotten most of what you put so I think I'll just have a bash myself based on what little I remember

One thing I missed at first that came in super handy later: you can pick up the Snowfox and carry it around in your inventory ;)
I think that happens to me mid-panic at one point xD not ideal when you want to board the thing

Oh yeah there totally should be!
1:25 Actually, yeah, it did require you to move around to keep your temperature up when you were under water. You just never kept still long enough to notice it. (Fun fact: I didn't notice this in my first playthrough at all, because I was always moving when underwater. It was only when I started watching LPs of the game that I found out that little tidbit.)
14:33 HAHAHAHA!! The image of you turning to face the Snow Stalker with that snowball ready to throw, like that's going to do anything, was just absolutely hilarious to me.
20:32 No, that's new in Below Zero, it wasn't in the original Subnautica. It's *supposed* to happen any time you're using power faster than you're generating it, as a warning that you might run out of power. But, because of the way power distribution works in Subnautica, it only counts whatever one power source you're currently pulling from. Since your base is powered by solar power, the lights will flicker whenever you're using more power than one single solar panel can provide.
Lol, I think playing with the Snow Stalker is some of the most fun I've had with the game so far :D
Also interesting to know you do have to keep moving underwater, and actually maybe makes the sci-fi side of it make more sense - it's not the water that's keeping you warm, it's the suit generating heat from the friction as you move through it... or something
Have a think about the fur, but clue violence is not the answer (:
