this song sounds more depressing than what happened to gold/ethan/jimmy and every living being he came across after he traded his dragonair for a weedle
I never cared much for Zame’s arrangement, too fast paced for my liking and the champion leitmotifs felt out of place. Big fan of Fireglow Music’s arrangement though, the perfect tempo and includes the Verdanturf leitmotif; honestly I thought that would be the version that’d be in Emerald Legacy, since it was posted not long before the release. With Emerald Legacy’s version, credit where it’s due, I like the looping variations, and the more serious feel is cool too, but the whole thing feels too… quiet? Idk if that’s the right word to describe it but it’s the best way I can think to.
The battle theme doesnt sound that bad , remember people had to create it since it doesnt exist in the vanilla game and its not easy to create an upbeat remix in GBA soundfont.
@@Theloster yeah, I know. I compared it to other GBA soundfont songs. To be fair, I don't know how songs on the GBA are made, but if other roms could then I feel like they could too.
Even that one doesn’t one feel fitting when it relies on the champion lemotif. Like the more rising action the song has given its Wally’s last attempt to challenge you before the League

The sad thing is that there’s actually a better GBA mix of this song on RUclips so I wish he’d have used that one instead.
Yeah same with their Zinnia theme.
@ I hope that if enough people give him that feedback then he’ll update it, but I can seem to get his attention.
Maybe he didnt manage to contact them and he didnt want to their creation without their permission.
While Zame’s remix is more upbeat, I like this version for how serious it is

Wow. This sounds depressing.
Do elaborate.
God this theme sounds like ass compared to the Zame's version.
