It's brilliant... Great pleasure! I'd like to ask you, Tom.... As far as I can see, you don't use Mirror Up mode...Do you think it's not really important? Thank you very much.
Thanks very much, I’ve never noticed any difference in image quality when using mirror lock up. A lot of people say you should but I’ve never found the need to personally. Many thanks Tom 👍
I have just found your channel recently (thanks YT algorithm) and I love the compositions that you find, you are very inspiring. I have also discovered that the 4x5 aspect ratio is very pleasing and I will start to crop my full frame images that way in future, at least to see how it work out. Keep up the fine work. The 10 stop shots can really pay off with decent cloud movement.
Thanks Kevin, its a lovely aspect ratio I would highly recommend it. Thanks for finding the time to watch my videos it’s really appreciated. Many thanks Tom 🙏
Enjoying some of your videos; some fine work. I especially liked the storm photos. a little surprised at the grain from the HP5 with such a large neg. Are scanning your negs to print? I shoot HP5 almost exclusively, but printing is all silver gelatin. Best wishes to you!
Hi Phillip thanks for the feedback I was a little surprised myself with how much grain there was in some of the images. I do usually develop with Rodinal which can really enhance the grain. I do still print in the darkroom from time to time but for the last year or so my son has hijacked the shed which I use for the darkroom. All the best Tom.
I just adore your coastline and how you've made moody captures!
Bravo!
Thanks mate it’s a beautiful coastline and I’m so happy I live here 👍
@@tomwhelan I'm consistently envious:)
Great video

what viewfinder is that? does it let u get more precise focusing?
Congratulations!! Really nice photos of the seaside!!! what developer did you use for the Delta100?
Hi it was Rodinal.
Very nice! What filter system are you using
Thanks Simon it’s the Lee 100 filter system. I would highly recommend its excellent quality and no colour casts.

@@tomwhelan Well, Rodinal plus scanning combine for a sure recipe for grain. Looking forward to future videos.
