This tiny micro skiff has impressed me with its ability to perform. Now I need to know if she can get me to and from the fishing grounds safely in high winds and water chop. With such low gunwales lets see how she does.

Nice little rig
I am currently building out an HD aluminum casting deck, subflooring, trolling motor, and 100Ah battery up front of my 14’ Jon.
I wonder how much different the ride will be now.
I have a 9.8 and was getting 21mph with me and my son in there (
cool small widy bug chop
Put about 20 pounds ice and an 18 pack. Good ballast😂🎉
I put two 60lbs bag of concrete at the bow of my Tracker 14 with a 15hp Merc on the back and hit 27.5 all day long.
She moves good! Nice setup ✌🏻
Thanks bro!
Good video!
Get a piece of pvc just larger than the tiller handle and cut a slit on one side of it for about 6”. Put one of stainless screw bands on it and tighten it down. Makes a good tiller extension
Thanks for the tip but this awesome performer will be going back to SkiffWorX.
That pretty impressive for that little boat. Makes me want one even more now lol
Great job looks like it handled very well! Nice looking boat!
Nice. Good top speed.
For a 9,9 I was impressed
That little thing did pretty good. How much does those micro skiffs cost approx?
I was recently told that they’ll start at $12,995
@@texascoastalliving clearly it's a sweet boat. Overall you think worth the investment? I'll pay extra for quality on allmost anything.
For my style of fishing it’s more than capable of doing what I need it to. Definitely worth it.
I’ve seen your other videos and was wondering how well do you think that thing would do in a River situation? Or river fishing in general? I’m from the Midwest but those things are some bad little rigs!
I'm also from midwest and have wondered this as well
It should have less bounce on high end if you trim it up. trimming down will keep the bow of the boat wanting to dig
So it looks like it's a one man skiff. The good news is you could buy 2 for what the first Skiff cost. Not a bad thing when you think about it. The SkiffWorX is a true winner. Great available options for fitting it to the conditions. Considering you'll be running with you and Christian sometimes, I think it's a great Skiff. So maybe just move the gas up front to seal the deal.
It’s a great micro that can check all my boxes.
Dude I was in surf side today and got skunked , I blame the wind lol
Maybe next time 💪
Get a stingray for the outboard lower unit or self leveling trim tabs and you will not have to put the 25 dumbbells
Steer bow into those wakes and it will cut them without that rocking. Nice little rig!
👍 most definitely
How are the mpgs or whatever it's called in boat terms compare to the other motor?
I haven’t done a distance test. If our weather would lay low for a day i could knock it out.
I had a 8 hp Mercury on a 16 ft Jon Boat. The 3 gallon tank would last all day.
Nice ride but wouldn’t call it 2 man craft…Chris don’t fit no more…. Lol….
Hydrofoil aka whale tail on the outboard to control the dolphining and will aid in getting on plane. Night and day difference in my opinion.
Yes, if it were mine I’d put a plate on it.
I guess I'm not confident in not having a skiff that does not have a steering wheel or something to hold on too. All it takes is one large swell to throw a person off balance.
Id rather have a hydraulic adjustable jack plate instead of that bolt type. Screw that kneeling down and possibly dropping that
Do you mean hydraulic trim? The jack plate is solid.
@@texascoastalliving I believe a mfg. called Atlas makes a hydraulic jack plate available from TH Marine. Another is called SeaStar. Total Badassery.
Really nice skiff overall! Handles really well! That was a good call to do the demo on this rig. I predict a SALE in the near future!
With a trolling moter will probably take care of wieght needed in front
They gave me the green light to install the quick release puck and wire receptacle.
