It's 2022 and I'm still in love with Brit Marling. It's a tragedy that the OA was cancelled. Truly one of the best shows ever created.

I never got to see these when they originally aired. I think Brit Marling is my new fav guest of all time. She seems so relaxed and natural - enjoying living in the moment. So awesome.

Been in love with Brit Marling since I saw The OA. I also think that she is one of the most intelligent & interesting people I've ever seen on TV, she genuinely does not seem as affected by her beauty, talent or fame.

There are not too many guests that Craig has a real connection with, especially on her last appearance. So this was very interesting to see.

This is why I love this show, you have no idea what's gonna happen. I mean by the end of the second interview, he literally convinced her to get therapy, and not as a joke. Where else are you gonna see that on a talk show?
Brit Marling makes such unusual but interesting films. She writes, produces and acts. I loved Sound of My Voice, Another Earth and The OA!
When someone really gets his synapses firing, he turns the creep factor down. You can tell Craig's really excited to talk with someone when he stops the jokes.
No he's just a decent person and intuitive, he knows how to make his guests comfortable and let them be themselves. He adapts to their styles with those who are little shy but goes hard on joking when someone matches his creep energy😄

Smart as a whip, a very talented writer and director, as well as actor. Another Earth is brilliant, as is the OA.
They connect very well, especially in the third installment - intelligent people having a natter, nice to see.
Not only a comedic genius, Craig generally cared for people and his conversations often had depth. He didn't care about Holly Wood Yada, Yada.

I normally lurk on this channel - but there was so much good stuff in these imprompts. Talk about clever, i like how he brought up that urban myth and then debunked it all at the same time. "i don't know why i was perpetuating that crap".

The last episode with them two and the two episode with his sister are by far my favorites! When Brit was talking about mixing Shakespeare and music videos reminded of the story Craig sister told about him reciting Shakespeare with Elvis’s voice. Two intellectuals having a civil discourse in this manner is by far my favorite thing on the internet. Thank God for RUclips!
Amazing. One of the few actresses I really don't enjoy, or haven't yet in any of her films, but she's got great energy in person and is totally present and grounded and fun in conversation. She's great! I'd love to watch her in some improv work.

I read in an interview that she was on track to having a really successful career in, I think it was the financial sector? And she gave it all up for acting because it was way more fulfilling. If true that’s really admirable actually.

Not really. I don’t think she’s motivated by being a huge film star. Projects like _The East_ and _Arbitrage_ tackle subjects that are obviously very dear to her.
@@PurushaDesa Exactly. She chooses what she wants to do, and doesn't just take acting jobs for money or fame. She hasn't actually done too many roles that she hasn't written herself, though I'm sure she gets a lot of offers at this point.

Brit is not an actress I've seen in film or TV (I plan to watch something now). But watching this interview I can tell why Jayleno fly says "I don't understand her much". She is smart and mature and not a typical actress. Craig seems like he felt challenged to have her on because he usually gets 'easy to entertain' guests. She is on his level, which is SUPER rare. Despite the fact that she's not a slam dunk guest appearance, he had her on three times. This is a classic case of an absolutely gorgeous woman who isn't often recognized for being brilliant. Sarah Paulson is another. I'm a huge fan just from this first exposure to who she is. LOVE that she co-writes also. Writers are the soul behind all media. Comedians are close second.
I think I just found my new favourite guest, thanks for this JLF! I really have to learn more about Jungian psychology, it seems like Craig really likes talking about it with his more intelligent guests.

Having watched and rewatched Craigyferg here for almost 20 Years, idk how this is the first time I've seen him with a guest hes seriously attracted to, but whose clear intellect impresses him so much that he eventually almost completely loses any of his usual pervy urges. I absolutely LOVE this woman, Brit Marling. Have you seen The OA? It's so good it's frightening! How can one person have so much talent? She is a goddess! No, seriously. A goddess. I would sit at her feet all day long, lost in worship.
Well to be honest, the OA was absolute crap in my opinion, in terms of plot, acting and premise; It really wasn't great. but she does seem amazing, really smart and funny and weird as fuck :D I'd date her hard, to try and figure her out!

The first movie I saw with her was the Sound Of My Voice, and it's still my favourite. I was astounded to learn she co-wrote it. After seeing it I immediately seeked out all her movies and binge watched and loved them all. Then The OA came out some years after and I loved that too, but I've only seen the first season. Got to check if there is more out by now. I'm kind of obsessed with her work and would watch anything with her in it or that she wrote. How cool to somewhat get to know her a bit through these interviews with Craig, my favourite ever tv-host, they have a great connection indeed!

If you liked Stranger Things.....the OA is right up your alley. The kid actors are incredible....I truly cared about them. And interesting story...and very good production values. The OA is definitely underrated....not enough people know about it.
