I usually don't spend too much time on a single game. Because I fear getting to the point where I empty the content of it I can further enjoy. I don't want to experience a single game start to end and be done with it. I'd rather play a little of one game for time to time, in between other games played in a same manner, so by the time I get to the end of a singular game, I already am looking forward to replay the debut of it I did a long time ago. So, yes, in a way, I finish games, but, not too fast
There's such a long list of first time & replays that I want to do, but there's no point in listing it out. I spent about a decade doing this where I was also learning game development on my own & through online resources & videos. However as of a couple years ago I started just beating games by getting better at understanding why I was playing them. Over the last 2.5 years I've beat over 60 games by across many platforms & I gotta say it feels good. I pick a game then play it until I've beat it even if it's just the main story & a little side content. I haven't played Ghost of Tsushima (other than multiplayer), Stellar Blade is waiting for me & I'm still yet to play Tales of Arise. Beating over 60 games is still nothing to though? That's something to be proud of & when I go start spending a little time trying to make a game again, I know I'll have a great understanding of what makes me want to finish each game.
Well Fallout 4 was on mine but finally playing it this year!!! Appreciate the suggestion. I have not played Elden Ring and know I will prob love it. Gonna get 76 and stream soon. I typically don’t even buy a game anymore until it’s a few years out. Can’t wait time on games that are not finished on release. So wait a few years for patches and once it’s better go back and play it.
I'll complete maybe 3 a year. But they're usually old games that I've already beat. The newest game I've beaten is probably Star Wars Battlefront 2. What a story.
