Chris Gascoyne is a fine actor and the best in Coronation Street. Although David Neilson is one of Britain's finest character actors. I stopped watching when he left and went back to revisit episodes of the past which I had forgotten or hadn't seen. I usually save six months worth of episodes and then have a marathon. Am not in a rush to catch up with post November 2021 episodes. The show has really run its course with Abby and recent villains who featured for way too long in dragged out storylines. Pat Phelan and Geoff Metcalfe should have been written out long before they departed. That said, Peter Barlow is my favourite.

I met him (The actor) once in Llandudno ' in North Wales ' he was staying at my B&B and playing Captain Hook in a pantomime at the nearby North Wales theater ' seemed a really nice chap ' I didn't realize he was from Corrie though as I don't watch it much ' I've watched him in it since though.
Peter's opponents rarely hit him back. Actually, rarely anyone fights back in Corrie these days. Peter has won fights mainly off Nick who isn't that tough, and he's lost to everyone else. Dunno how he thought he'd kill Jim. Jim owned him every time and then he goes for him while he's disabled?? Didn't some random person beat him up and steal his cab after this. Toyah's husband also punched him off screen and Charlie beat him up too.
