    Those hit and miss engines are really cool. A gentleman had a John Deere hit and miss running a couple of ice cream churns at an antique truck and tractor show I went to back in the spring.

    OMG that is to die for. What a great sound . Something different to the old Mamod and Wilesco and Burnac models

    Wow!
    What a strange little motor. I’ve never seen one quite like this before.
    The sound though.

      @@RCTanksTrucks247 why does it always misfire? Is that intentional to help regulate the speed?

    • @user-jv4fx5tg6o
      @user-jv4fx5tg6o 5 месяцев назад

      @@jbirdmax That is why it is called a "hit and miss" engine. It only fires enough to maintain the desired speed. A lot of them fire just once and then coast for several revolutions before firing again. Used to be very common until more sophisticated ways of controlling he speed were developed.

    sounds like it cant rev up high enough either the rubber ring for a piston ring or lack of oil lubricant

    Stirlingkit has been trying my patience with the quality of their offerings, but lately partnered with/distributing Musa/Retrol? I'm coming back in favor. These Musa/Retrol engines seem to pretty reliably do what they're supposed to do, they don't look gaudy, and they're better priced than the eachine, microcosm, toyan stuff.
    I may just grab me one of these.

    There is no reason they can't use real rings for the piston and a proper oiling system. I see other channels try to put these novelty engines to work only to see the engine fail. Cool engine and concept but some of use tinkerers and hobbyists want them to do work. Makes for an even better conversation piece when you make your own contraption with one.

      ya there cheap so don’t expect them to actually handle a work load good for looks i guess

    So, no mention of the issues that Joe Pie encountered? Did you have them, too? Or not? No assembly goes perfectly, so for my money, a biased review. A nice looking machine, though.

      I didn't see Joe Pie had any problems. Didn't he build for display only and never intended to run the engine?

    A fun little engine, but $400??!! No thanks, way to expensive for a look-at toy.
