I used to see the Dregs in the late '70s and '80s at the Exit/In in Nashville. I remember the first show I saw, I got there 2 hours early and waited for the doors to open so I could get a table down front. When the MC announced the band, he asked if there were any guitar players in the audience...95% of the people in the room raised their hands. Add Steve to Woodshed 2023 and I'll have my son's name changed legally to Andy Wood Wilson.
Me too, Saw them when they still called themselves Dixie Dregs at Rockafellers & Greenstreets in Columbia & Myskins in Charleston, SC. Probably 6-7-8 times. Also saw EJ close to the same amount of times at the same venues plus the Music Farm in Charleston.

I've sold two guitars, an amp, and some pedals and I'm excited to announce that I have raised the necessary funds and I AM NOW A REGISTERED ATTENDEE at the 2023 Woodshed Guitar Experience! Advance warning to the faculty and participants: I am not a very knowledgeable or competent guitar player but I will have to challenge the faculty to keep up with me on Mustang Sally! I have been a fanboy of Eric Johnson since before Ah Via Musicom...I wonder if Eric would sign an ancient Guitar Player magazine I have? Can I bring a small pedalboard that contains my Polytune 3, Woodshed Compressor, Gearbox OD, and Halo delay? And, if so, is there even a remote chance I could get help tweaking the settings to get that Andy/Andy tone???
@@andywoodmusic I'm fairly new to pedalboards. In the relatively short time I've been playing, I used a couple of Boss multifunction boards. I know you'll be busier than a one-armed paper hanger but a couple of minutes would be great. I'll even let you play MY Suhr Classic T through the board! 😁
