The UNT wind symphony lacks nothing. This performance is emotional and precious. They draw out every phrase so well, and squeeze the last juice from the fruit. I would love to see them in person.
Dennis Fisher has gorgeous technique, particularly on slower flowing music like this. It was always a pleasure to watch him conduct when I was a DMA student at UNT. This is an absolutely stunning performance. It could not have been more musical, and Dennis drew every bit out.
Was supposed to play this for my last concert ever in April 2020. Unfortunately it was cancelled due to the pandemic and I never got that last concert, but I still appreciate this piece!
Just heard this piece for the first time, as my daughter played the English horn part at music camp (and did an amazing job!) - this is a gorgeously played performance.

@@jonathandenis36 i don't think mr mckenzie would notice but what the heck bro
hmm...you must have missed some of the intonation, balance, and phrasing issues from soloists and ensemble.

All because her in-game husband died...

Outstanding performance.
Note to self: Marry an essential NPC
Flawless performance of a beautiful piece!
+Mark Baroni Can't be flawless - first note wasn't together! :)
You got me there.... I had to re-listen to it to hear it... minor hesitation of opening note....
+James Dawson This is intentional. The first note is staggered to add a hearty effect and warm polyphonic texture.
thats what I thought..... I then contacted Mrs. Giroux... she was very happy the way it was performed .....
Great performances
Love the English horn solo.
Is this available on JW Pepper?
