- Thank you for watching, I hope you enjoyed this video of our year. It's quite different from the other years, but I really like it :)
2018 has been a great year, but we've also really had some downs. I hope this video explains most of it, but feel free to ask any questions below or just leave a nice comment.

I find it intriguing that you and Irish feel most comfortable without a bridle. I cannot even grasp the idea of how get her into a collected trot with just the neck rope. You guys are truely a one and a kind pair

Some People are just good at training Their horses. Plus it’s not even that hard if your horse is easy to work with
Absolutely beautiful to watch. You and Irish are just the perfect team ....... I only started to ride six months ago at the age of 55 and I cannot even begin to understand how you ride her without saddle / stirrups / bridle .....But it's inspired me to try so much harder to improve my relationship with the horses that i'm lucky enough to be able to ride.
Marc Pook You should definitely try to ride without a saddle. Trot is kinda hard when you first start, but it’s so much easier to canter! Good luck with your riding😊

Korvus Mangata no I mean seat. It’s basically the way someone sits on the horse. She doesn’t bounce around really at all and saddle or not she stays put onto the horses back.

You prove to everyone that you don’t need to use bits to achieve the something with your horse. You don’t force your horse to do something they choose to do it or not 🐴🐴
The ovious bond between you is incredible! At 8:34 you both look gorgeous, and I loved the groundwork/play and seeing Irish and his pony friend play around in the arena. You are an incredibly talented match that inspires me to work on my form and ride bareback more often.

Lovely to see. I love bare back riding because you can feel the horse so perfectly. Even before the horse begins to shy at something, you can feel it in their body. My Mom always told me, "If you throw your heart over the jump, the horse will follow." Of course, it is more complicated than that, but you clearly have a good relationship and trust. I'm sure your jumping will continue to improve.
I have to say... You are a perfect rider ! I see no imperfection in the way you communicate with Irish... When you're changing direction it's barely noticable, I'm very impressed... You and Irish are my role models 😍
If i tried any of this i would be left in the dust. Irish is truly a master!!

It is amazing to watch the 2 of you. You can really see the communication of you 2. And that you ride without a bridle and bit or even a sadle is amazing. This shows that you dont need a bridle to show och control a horse, you only need communication and understanding ❤️

So amazing u can do dressage bridleless... I do reining and barrel racing (sometimes)... But sometimes English! I've never seen anyone do so good in English riding bareback and brideless, WAY TO GO!!!

So inspiring to watch. You are a great team, she must completely trust you to stay that calm when she broke into the ice water. Also your balance/seat is amazing. I've been riding for over 10 years now and I don't think my seat without a saddle will ever be this smooth.

I am a beginning rider of British horsemanship in Japan. I wondered what name your riding style because many riders in japan ride on horses with a saddle and a bridle connected with a bit. I'm strongly impressed to see your riding technique without a saddle and bridle. You go keeping contact with seat...not,back of horse?

Thank you so much! I don't have anything against tack at all - actually I train multiple horses with track. Irish does just not like it and works way better without, so that's why we don't use it ;)

Aww, this is so fantastic. Your bond is fascinating, you treat Irish with the kindness and empathy and respect as you would a human and although this is normal for many already, you still see people that don't actually listen to their partners or see them as such. Anyone else find it funny that in all the clips at the beginning of the year when Irish didn't like jumping, ever scene she misbehaved in she had a saddle. The rest if the clips she didn't misbehave when she DIDNT have a saddle on.
