    Thanks for the video, I wish more stuff was made like that, good company & customer service. Looks like a perfect target for shooting field points. I only practice with my fixed broadheads, so I now use a Reinhart multi sided dense foam target, & it's great.

    You'll get a tighter wrap by laying the replacement sheet face down on a flat surface, placing the target on top of the sheet, and then placing weight onto the target to flatten it out to floor surface. (Something like a piece of thick plywood to set on it, and then place heavy stuff on the plywood.. bricks, a cooler of water, etc..) With the surface compacted flush with the floor, you'll get a tighter fit when stapling the face to the edges. 😁

      Doesn't seem necessary. I've been shooting the daylights out of this target since I made this video and it is holding up great.

    Very helpful thank you my brother. My first bulldog is coming although I'm wanting to shoot from range 30/40/50 yards so I want to put an two foot target on the center.
    You did an awesome job especially with the great help. 🏹🤠👍

      @@seansoutdoors Howdy Sean, just to update my first bulldog from ebay fell through but eBay refunded me. I had to upgrade to the Ff bulldog with a different vender and placed order on the 8th of April. Yesterday (18th) it shipped. Hope we have some time with the wars/rumors of wars, earthquakes, and coming famine (loss of Ukrainian bread basket) and of course with the way Iran "&" Biden seem to be working against Israel; the Lords return cannot be far away! 🏹🤠👍

    My Stanley staple gun didnt have a problem with my bulldog. Might double check that it doesn't have a strength setting - Mine does right at the bottom and if you turn it down it will leave the staples sticking out

    Sean I have a Bulldog target for my Excalibur micro 355. I called Bulldog and they recommended the correct target model for my crossbow they assumed me the correct model carries the same warranty for crossbows depending on FPS/model.
    God bless everyone, please be careful during theses stressful times.

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  4 года назад +1

      Okay great. I know that my target would not hold up to a crossbow shooting over 400fps as my bow at 300 fps blows through it after a number of shots at the same spot, so I constantly have to aim to a different spot.

    Hey Sean, do you shoot broadheads at this target? I am shooting an older PSE X-Force #60, and the Block target I am using holds up, kinda. I still have arrows coming out the other end and worry about shooting an 80lb bow at it.
    P.S. I laughed my butt off when I saw your little girl come in and start grabbing your tools, trying to help out. My son is always asking me to help with projects which usually extends the time I spend doing whatever it is he is helping with. Love the channel and all your helpful content, just started shooting archery and hunting at 39, looking forward to learning all I can!

      No you can't shoot broadheads at this target. Yes, kids are good at making more work for us. Lol

    thanks for the video - what is the material inside? Is it cloth or a synthetic material?

      It's similar the the stuffing in a pillow in appearance but stops better

    Nice video, how has the target held up?

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  9 месяцев назад

      Still holding up. I periodically lay it face down and jump on the back to pack the stuffing tighter to help stop the arrows after a while.

    The arrows pull out easily but I had a problem with the tips, insert getting hung on the facing while pulling out. Some arrows I pulled the insert out pulling the arrow out.
    Chances are the arrow wasn't squared before insert install.

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  Год назад

      That's unfortunate. God bless you

    • @C.Adams82
      @C.Adams82 Год назад

      Actually now that I think about it,the field tips were too big,.246 arrow insert should be tipped with 5/16. I had em tipped with 9/32 cause I'm used to shooting Easton 6mm. It's not the target, it's me. Target is phenomenal, especially when you factor in the lifetime warranty.

    Are the surfaces made of tarp or is it some kind of special material? I'm planning to get this but since I'm in Asia shipping for just the surface replacements might be uneconomical compared to just sourcing the surface material locally.

  • @damnu8089

  • @caninphx

    you forgot to flip it over and walk on the existing surface to redistribute the material before putting the new face one

    • @seansoutdoors

      I do that about about every 50 shots and also before attempting to put the new face on.

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  4 года назад +1

      I think a crossbow would end up blowing through it after a few weeks of use.

      Wayne Coursen I have this bulldog target, I soot an Excalibur micro 355. These are field points only targets. Call Bulldog and they will recommend the correct target for the crossbow. It has to do with the FPS and the thickness. It stands up just as Sean states. My 4 year old granddaughter could pull the arrows. You won’t be disappointed. God bless everyone in these stressful times.

      @@seansoutdoors I was afraid you were going to say that. I am presently using the BLOCK target which is fine except it takes two men and a boy to pull the bolt out. Thanks for the quick reply.

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  4 года назад

      @@fmrwayne They make stuff you can rub on the bolt or an arrow to make it pull out easier. Some people even just take a bar of soap and rub the dry bar of soap on the bolt or arrow before shooting it and it pulls out easier.

      @@seansoutdoors That sounds like a good idea however I am afraid that now that it is slippery it will go through the target?
