  • I've always wanted to one day own an MV Agusta and here we are! I originally wanted a Super Veloce but the F3 was calling my name. Truly motorcycle art and every time I go into the garage I am mesmerized. Not to mention the sound the triple cylinders is intoxicating!

      My dream. I really was close to buying one in 2014. My Mom kind of made me think it's kind of too dangerous for me. Still love it! Amazing! Gorgeous! I ride a pretty fast kick scooter now that goes something a little over 100 km/h. This machine you have is quite something. Like a soul mate.

    Too bad I don't have a proper dealership in the state I'm in. (or even surrounding states)

      Right?! Still looks like it just came out! Just have to take a drive. But even at that rate why would you need to go to the dealer all that often? Unless there was warranty work or an issue you couldn’t fix.

    An American rider wearing proper gear, who’d have thunk! Very nice bike but ofc an exhaust was needed. I prefer the triple look, so id always go for that OEM after market part.

      @@slifer1002 I know but I didn’t want that. The MV branded triple exhausts look awesome on the Dragster. I personally like a race style exhaust on the F3. Even the F3RR offers an Akrapovic slip-on.

    Unfortunately I had to sell the Daytona because I needed the money 😂 but I just got me a 92 Yamaha FZR 1000!

    Your clip ons, in the event of a gnarly crash does the triple clamp have bar inserts or do you have to replace the entire triple clamp? I ask because these shots look like they are integrated systems.

    • @itsmeericb
      @itsmeericb  3 месяца назад +1

      You know what, now that you bring it up I need to actually inspect that. I’m pretty sure the clip ons sit under the top triple clamp. Actually I’m pretty sure they do because I was looking to get the clamp powder coated black.

    pretty nice and all but so old now, and so heavy. When I was hunting for a supersport I was choosing between this in a 675cc(no 800cc versions then and I would not want it because of me racing super sport 600 as an amateur) and the d675. The 675 was better in all aspects but the looks. But the looks, omg, droool :)

    • @itsmeericb
      @itsmeericb  3 месяца назад

      Yes the looks is to die for and one of the main things I wanted was the TFT display. Can’t believe it took them until 2022 to add it.

  • @robinv2758
    @robinv2758 3 месяца назад

    I'm really considering a 675 version as my first 100+hp bike, granted I don't see that happening just yet but if a decent deal comes up I might not be able to resist. Something I like on the 675 (and older 800s) over the newer 800s is that classic 2 tone red and silver paintjob, red alone is nice too but the red and silver is so much nicer in my opinion

    • @itsmeericb
      @itsmeericb  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes I hear the 675 version is a great bike as well. Just be cautious of the silver engines as they had some issues with the spray clutch. The black engine is what you want. The 675 and 800 are not different. MV just did some magic with the bore or compression ratio. I can’t recall, but that’s how they got more CC’s out of the engine.

    • @robinv2758
      @robinv2758 3 месяца назад

      @@itsmeericb yeah I've heard of the silver and black engines, although surprisingly 675s seem less troublesome than 800s and even the clutch failures aren't as common on the 675s. Most of the silver engine ones I've found have 20k+ km on them so I'd say they haven't suffered any catastrophic failures just yet. Regardless I'm still going to wait a year or 2 before buying one, not ready for it yet

    The F4s are known on the forums to be more reliable than the F3s overall, MV had a bad era, like 2014-2017 I think where both F3s and F4s were problematic, if I recall. I want a 312rr or an F4 750.

    • @itsmeericb
      @itsmeericb  3 месяца назад +1

      Gotcha. Yeah I have always heard the F4's were bad then the F3's with the sprag clutch a while back. Also the sliver colored engines on the F3's were bad until MV came out with the black colored motors.

    • @AjackLee4
      @AjackLee4 3 месяца назад +1

      @@itsmeericb The only issues the F4s had afaik, were heat related issues, and electronics, and of course you need to keep up on oil changes. People tried riding them like commuters and they're a thoroughbred track bike so they don't like that 😅. I think the newest F3s are more tuned for the street rider, less temperamental. Hopefully they get better and better with KTM's support.

    Bike looks great, that said I hate how you cant replace the clipons easily. MV's dealer support is also still terrible, I had a buddy waiting for about a year for engine rebuild parts, because his F3 decided to grenade on track. Apparently because MV is such a small company, they care more for their race teams than they do their customers. Race teams get rebuilds, customers get to wait a year for parts until MV decides to finally not cancel your parts order. Damn shame because I'd love an F3 800.

    • @itsmeericb
      @itsmeericb  3 месяца назад

      Yeah gotta know what you’re getting yourself into when you get an MV. Good thing is they are not like they used to be when it comes to quality. The older models had engine issues and spray clutch issues. I’m not too concerned with the clip ons as this bike will not see the track all that often. You can change them out quite easily with aftermarket ones. It’s just like I mentioned in the video, a lot of people won’t own one because they worry about the maintenance, parts and dealer support. I don’t mind driving a little bit to go to a dealer and I do all of my own work. Only take it in if it’s something I can do. Parts may be an issue but I may scoop up an other bike so I can still ride when the MV is down.
