I am doing a HAPPY DANCE over here! I've got my alarm set for this series. My fingerpicking is coming along very slowly. NOT. NO. MORE. Thank you, Kevin!
I have been truly encouraged to play more confidently with this 7-day Strumming series. I have liked a couple of facts that you keep reminding has been thoroughly helpful. : 1. Keep practising slowly, correctly and confidently. 2. Metronome is your friend. I think these 2 make a dynamic combination to bear in mind, for a beginner like me. Thank you and appreciate your time and investment in this series. God bless you! - Sam
One thing I would like to say is that the way you make these series so anybody following along can be able to accomplish something significant. They seem just right in the length and content to be able to get confidence by accomplishing each Day's lesson. Great to do something and not get begged down.
This was a terrific series on strumming. This video was a BIG leap faster than the other videos in this series. I still love it a lot, but I'll have to practice it at half time for a while. Thanks for your thoughtful lessons. I'm just mentioning this in case you like the feedback...
Kevin, a BIG Mahalo and Aloha. Very much appreciated. I already see (and feel) how these strumming patterns will help me. I'm a big follower....Cheers, John
I did a crash course last night with the first 6 lessons and finished the 7th tonight! Learned alot and so far, I've succeeded (I practice ALOT). As far as your next series, I think fingerpicking (it's my nemesis(yuck!) which is why I need it) and/or some alternative ways to play difficult chords (a "cheat" version!) Thank you so much for your efforts to keep us learning!
Terry, you sound just like me. I'm taking piano lessons so I know that feeling of trying to put in serious time to improve faster. It does work. Fingerpicking just may have to be the next series..
Thanks Kevin for these tutorials! I just got my uke last week and will move on to the kickstart series after this one. Your teaching style is slow and methodical and easy to follow. Your patience and meticulousness is appreciated! Also, it may take a couple of years for me to get to it, but it would be nice to see YOUR tutorial on Bread's "Everything I Own". Thanks again!
I wish I had found you during the early stages of the pandemic. Either way I am happy to have found you. I am nowhere confident with my strumming. Thank you! Looking forward to your other videos.
Thank you so much Kevin ! I watched all 7 Days series of Strumming . Love it . You are a great Teacher . Feel comfortable to learn (follow your slow speed) Thanks again . You should've keep the T Shirt on Day 6 for today "Let it Be" :) What ever you think the new beginner needs . Go ahead teach us...I willing to learn from you again . Stay Safe . Greeting from Canada (Toronto)
More strumming is good. Using the metronome is nice too. I have ordered one to help. Always good to learn chords that are part of a popular song . Thanks so much. You are a good teacher!
Thank you Florie 🙏🙏. If you’re interested in more learning tools to accompany these lessons, drop by my new site. I have practice tracks, song sheets, and worksheets available for you that will really help you improve your skills. All the best - Kevin | www.allforuke.com/lessons
You have given me my enthusiasm back! I got bored with my go to strum and this series has been so helpful. Thank goodness I found your site on my iPad.

Hi Kevin just found this series on youtube I was playing a bit a while ago but my uke friends moved away and I did not play anymore. This is great and I love it so much. Thank you.
I have been playing the Uke or about 2 years and never really could get or understand strumming. These 7 days have been great. I have just watched them and look for to trying them out Unfortunalely I had a little accident and can't play right now but I found them very good and look forward to your next serris which I think should be finger picking Kathaleen
Just finished this brilliant course. Thank you, once again, Kevin. So well paced and informative. It's really adding to my beginners repertoire! Have also completed Kickstart. Will practise all what I've learnt so far and then perhaps the Fingerpicking. So much to learn but so much joy in these difficult times. Bless you.
I used your series as the basis of a 15 day challenge to improve the rhythm and musicality of my strumming. Super helpful and yours was really the only methodical series I found on the web. Thank you. I would love to see a series on musicality on the uke. Not entirely sure what that means but I am sure you know. Thank you so much Kevin.
Looking forward to the fingerpicking series, there are So many styles. I will still be re-visiting these lessons and reviewing them. Thank you for the lessons, I hope to solidify these techniques it the upcoming months. Cheers!!
Hi Kevin, you make it so so easy to follow for a beginner like myself , but enjoyable so much that l want to practise more , am one where have to get the basics before moving on , great series, loving it.
Congratulations, Kevin. It was very nice to follow you in this 7 days serie. If you make others I'll follow you again, and again, and again....hugs from Brazil.
Hey Sergio -- great to hear from you and thanks so much for joining me throughout the series. It's been a lot of fun creating these lessons and meeting all sorts of new people. I'm grateful that you've part of the community. Are there any Brazilian made ukuleles?
Yes, Kevin. There are a few of them. But, ukulele is not traditional in the music instruments in Brazil. But, the young people is now jointing the Uke community. I hope they make more models soon. Big hug and good lucky to you.

Thank you so much Kevin, I learn a lot from you. I recently started improving my playing style with the help of your videos and they are great! Can you also make a series about riffs please?
- thank you so much for these videos -- I want all of what you mentioned -- it would be fun to have more strumming patterns, it is so great that you mention songs that you can use each pattern with. Thank you for the time and detail that you put into these -- you are helping to build my confidence and feel proud of myself -- I can't wait to see what all you will share in the future
Ahoj Kevine, děkui za tvé lekce. Je mi 63 roků a začal jsem se učit hrát na ukulele. Nikdy jsem na nic nehrál a s tvou pomocí mi to jde celkem dobře. Díky, těším se na každé nové video. Ota.

Great series! I would love lessons on changing chords while singing a song. Seems I can play all the chords and strums, but add words and it all falls apart! The graphics you use are really good !
Thanks Ann - have you tried any of my song tutorials on my channel? If you go to www.allforuke.com, you can check those out and the songsheet pdfs that go along with them. I think playing and singing some simple cover songs is the best way to start. Even children's songs where you just strum once and sing in between. I think a singing + playing series is a good idea. Keep in touch and let me know how you're coming along, k?
Hi Mr.Kevin,I'm following you. This new series is really great. I can strum better now. Hope to see more strumming techniques and of course fingerpicking too. Thank you very much!
Thanks for this strumming series. I’m sure I’ll revisit many times! I would love to work on some of the harder chords, with bars etc... You’re very good at breaking down info and making it accessible so I’m hoping you can show us how to and maybe multiple options for trickier chords. Thanks for all you do!
Thanks so much Kevin for your hard work putting up this strumming series and also the first kickstart series. I enjoyed very much of them both and will definitely take part on the future series as well! :)

I LOVE the fingerpicking idea for a series. something i need badly, one other idea i have for a series, can you do one where you show the process of transposing a song, from the music that you hear in a video to the chords / melody notes for ukulele. Is that even something that you cld do a series on? if i had that knowledge, i could transpose the songs i want to transpose to ukulele chords and melody notes. Thanks.
Thanks so much. You're a great teacher. I'm new to playing any instrument, and it's been wondrous and joyful to follow your great teaching and setup of these lessons - I'm making music! Or on the way, anyway :)
