    I just found your channel. I'm a gear nerd and obsessed with Archteryx. This is hands down the best review I've seen on this Jacket. You did your homework in the details. Great job!

    I have one without the hoodie it’s the bomb, so cozy and lightweight and roomy for layering on top of it or underneath depending on how I feel and the weather

    Great review. I bought this jacket. Best jacket I have ever had. I had a north face jacket that I took back and exchanged for this one. So worth it. I love it so much I feel like getting a second one. It really is worth the buy if you like light feeling jacket that keeps you warm. I live in New England.

      Still yet to find one that shows it packed away in it's own pocket.
      You say in this review it doesn't pack into its own pocket but on their website it says that it does.

    You would be interested to know the manufacturing cost of these jackets are hardly £20-£30 as they are manufactured in Vietnam, Bangladesh etc.
    If you ever go to colder regions in Himalayas... their local jackets are equivalently good.
    I have one and it works in 0 degree, it's stylish and only cost me £30, I got it from India.
    The materials are not rocket science to be priced that high... but no one questions them so...

    are there 2 kinds of atom LT.. i bought one in thelasthunt and Arcteryx outlet and the one from the outlet is thinner

    • @MaximeTanti
      @MaximeTanti 3 года назад

      Yup, the newer Atom LT has compact coreloft insulation which is thinner (more compact as the name implies), but provides the same warmth.

    Really good review, thanks! I'm now doubting between the Atom LT and the Atom AR. Mostly the temperature will be like 0 to 15 but can be a minimum of - 5. Its also a bit windy here in Holland. I will use it for day hikes and for in the city. Which one would you recommand? Hope you still reply after months

      Honestly I use the lt, the main reason. Because I can later it under a shell and stay kind of warm. I've had an ar don't really use it. If anything you can always layer a bit under it keeping you warm.

      Orhan Cabarov the Anaconda was either 2015 or 2016, I don't think they have it in the 2017 version. Sorry!

      Do you have non-slip zippers in your jacket ?
      my English is bad. Sorry. :(

      @callusclimbing2155  7 лет назад +1

      No problem! I'm not sure what you mean by non-slip, but they are YKK zippers and they are pretty smooth to zip!

    What winter jacket do you recommend with the atom lt for casual wearing in city with 0 to 6°C

    • @callusclimbing2155
      @callusclimbing2155  6 лет назад

      I'd probably just throw a thick sweater on underneath

      My Atom SL goes super well with a light fleece under like the Adahy. When I ski the alps in march, I run a merino base layer, the Adahy, and the Atom SL. This setup is light and keeps me nice and toasty even when Im reaching the mountain tops at around 3000 meters in wind. Guess the same is true for the LT.

    To what temperature would you wear the jacket standalone both hot and cold?

    • @callusclimbing2155
      @callusclimbing2155  7 лет назад +1

      Michael Elliot With a t-shirt underneath, 5c to 15c, with a sweater 0c to 10c. Doing mild activity, on a non windy day

      ik8vwa it's the Anaconda color. I think it may be discontinued officially now, but you can probably still find it on some sites

    Just another question since I bought mine a few days ago for the Italian winter: you say this jacket is ok down to 5 degrees Celsius. In that temperature did you have just a t shirt underneath or how many layers? I would like to use the jacket with the first layer of so called "warm cotton", then a shirt and then a jumper. I don't know if this will be ok for temperatures that here go down to -4 C. And I don't mean going to work hard outside, just walking, slow walking. I am curious to know your opinion.

    • @callusclimbing2155
      @callusclimbing2155  7 лет назад

      If -4C is the the low, you should be fine. Depends how well you deal with the cold as well. I'm not sure how windy it gets over there either, but if it gets really windy or wet, you might want to get some kind of shell to throw on top as well.
