I am watch your video at the moment and 2 years from your post . Like you my son and I are on a shoe string and have started out with the ngt product and like you say great stuff . However we are going to upgrade now from the very budget alarms and go for the new style dynamics . One question , are you still using them to date and have been durable enough to last a long time
I am still using them on every session and apart from changing batteries they have been fine. They have been out in all conditions too which has surprised me.
With these ones you turn the light on using the switch on the back and then turn it off using the small button on the outer shell. That way it should be set to activate with your alarms and not stay on all the time
@@budgetfishing3611 thanks for the reply mate, these have a different combination, only two buttons, one is for on/off the other for brightness and both for syncing - I managed to set it up properly once by trial and error last year but have forgotten what I did, I’ll mess about with it tonight once I’m back home, cheers anyway 👍
Ah, so you pair the light with the separate receiver, not with the individual alarms directly. Shame, I was going to be a cheapskate and just buy the bivvy light to match the separate VS alarms I've already got :) EDIT: Not sure about the Dynamic version, but I've found that with the NGT VS bite alarm and bivvy light set, the bivvy light will work even with the receiver turned off once they're all sync'd.
I'm curious, according to the info thst I read you can set the colour of each alarm to your choice, yet when I see adverts they sell them as red blue purple etc etc. Can you change the colours on the heads or not?
Found when Pairing the light to the receiver that after each light you have to turn the bivvy light off before starting the next one or it just stays on the same color all the time. Agree with the comment below , for the price they are extremely good value as with a lot of the NGT Gear.
I can't remember doing that as I paired them at home and done the review the following day. I think it's to save the connection on that light so you don't configure 2 to the same colour
Can you pair this with Delkims , fox , Nashand other top of the range bite alarms, before you answer no , have you tried doing so. If not i don't see a market for this Bivvy light. as 99.9% of Carpers would not but NGT alarm sets and already have sets of top quality alarms. ??? Your comments / thought greatly appreciated !!
I have never tried. I suppose it all depends on if the alarms work off the same signals etc. I only use these alarms as they are brilliant for the money but appreciate those with higher end stuff may want to match something else in. The light is brilliant and if you can pair them it's a great asset to your session

Hoa many models of the NGT bivvy light that works off the alarms do NGT sell as i seem to be finding Two models, one with an opaque lens and one with a clear lens like the one in your video !!. Will just have to buy one cheap and try it with my delkims , if it works great if it doesn't £16 odd quid is not a lot to lose !!. Just let me know how many types they made , Thank you.
@@richardstringfellow2572 I found a couple of sets but the dynamics just looked a lot better than the other set and the £20 difference between the 2 sets meant I went for what looked like a better set. Let us know how it goes with the light
@@budgetfishing3611 Found an NGT VTS biivy light new for £12.45, just ordered it. Due to Easter bankholiday weekend may not be with me until Thursday. When it comes i will try to pairit with my Delkim TXI plus system, it may work ormay not. However i am not an electronics genius , so if any of you out there know how to make thse work with top end alarm sets please let us know. Cheers.

Ngt do good tackle for the price, most of my tackle is ngt cant fault it, not everyone can afford expensive tackle keep up with the reviews 👍

I’ve got the VS version and have synced the alarm colours but have forgotten how to put the light in “standby/wake up on alarm” mode - any clues?

Yes you can change the colour. If you see the main review I done you will see there is a circular swith to change it on the bite alarm unit.
Sorry this is probaly a really stupid question but what is more sensitve the setting number 1 or settign 5
I think it's 5 but I normally leave them on 3 as that way it isn't too sensitive with every wind gust.

Does the light make a noise too??
No it doesn't. You have the receiver for that. The light indicates which rod has gone off and helps light your bivvy in thr dark
do these work okay in the rain? thanks for giving an update too
I've had no issues in any weather so far. I just make sure I dry them off if it happens to rain during a session.
