Challenge 2 - Catching a fish from middle lake
Welcome to my challenge video number 2. I have returned to Rode Hill fishery to fish middle lake with the aim of catching one from there. I've tried 3 or 4 times previous with no joy! Also after failing my last challenge, it's time to set the record straight..... or is it?

    Great little boats for the price ive had one for a year and a half the only issue i had was the hopper started cracking i used for plastic angle and glued it where the screws mount now it is super strong and a easy fix i would atleast advise people to try and add some washers just to prevent the hopper cracking where the hinge mount nuts are as the nuts they use are very small

    I’ve got these. Can you change the alert style noise on the receiver ? It’s really annoying when you get only one blip on the alarm, especially in the night/ line bite, that the receiver strobes 4 times? I would have preferred the receiver noise to be in-sync with the bite alarm tone I also seem to have to re sync the alarms with the receiver after turning the receiver off/ to vibrate, like it’s not remembering the settings? Apart from that. They seem really good. Landing me a 25lb mirror smashing my PB at a new venue on the 1st morning.

      @@ryancurd8539 I've not seen anything about changing the alert style. I had a few sessions with wind and liners and it was getting frustrating so turned the sensitivity right down and it seemed to work. It's not too bad. I typically don't have far to go on the lakes I fish so it's more of a convenience thing for me but providing you don't load it too high then you would be fine

    Would it be robust enough for the ocean? 8:15

      I would say no. I think a couple of waves would drown it having used it on a windy day on a lake.

    Nice review. These are under a hundred quid on Amazon UK and great value. Have been wary of NGT, but would consider these ‘cos I’m looking for a set with a receiver to replace my Fox Microns (which are themselves very cheap, but don’t have receiver (or the capability))

    Fiberglass rods for carp?!?! Based on the reviews on Amazon UK, with reports of breakages and poor quality of all items, I wouldn’t touch this garbage. Fully endorse buying budget gear (too much over-priced and unnecessary stuff in the carp world), but it has to be fit for purpose (not just down to a price).

      I've still got them and they come out every now and then despite having upgraded. They have played and landed fish to mid/upper 20's and only time I've had concern was when playing a big cat which eventually snapped me off but the rods didn't falter. A lot of people will buy them as start up kit and not look after them which is most likely to lead to breakages rather than the product failing

    Hi, does it matter what reels go on those rods? I have ordered them in 2.75, 12ft - but I can’t decide which reels to get. I’m currently looking at Vader X Pro 10000, but are they too big?

    • @budgetfishing3611
      @budgetfishing3611 Год назад

      I'm sure you can put whatever reels you want on them. I only got the 8000 as they were a good deal and I couldn't really work out the difference for the price

    Melksham tackle shop is my local and definitely is worth a look at that one. I just watched the review of your new rods and reels I have the vader x alarms which I would recommend. Probably about to go through and watch a few of your session vlogs now loving the idea of the channel and looking forward to seeing a local on some local banks.

      It doesn't have a return but it does have a set speed button so you don't have to hold forward which is what I use when bringing it back in. Hope that helps

      @@ernestwhy.5221 yeah you hold forward and then press it and it acts like cruise control. 1 button is for the tipper, 1 for lights and I think the other 2 are for if you get the one with extra hoppers on as it seems a generic remote
