One point to take into account is by adding more height to the rear is also affects the fork rake. This also means due to the weight transfer you are putting more pressure on the forks which inturns drops the front of the bash plate lower. This can affect the overall handling of the bike.
Hey mate you guessed it 😉 absolutely correct, that is exactly what the pic at the end of the vid was about. I wonder why no one else mentioned it. Well maybe no one watched it till the end to begin with 🙂 but no less I got the spacers made, will share details and rest in vid at the earliest. For now its testing times 😉 cheers
@@leuheanrede Thanks for the reply. Strange no one else picked this up. It's not as bad heightening the forks a few MM. I always do both front and rear when upgrading the suspension. Keep up with the excellent videos.

Hello, very informative video, I own a bs6 2020 Himalayan There is a very bad squeak from the rear suspension area, also noticed the rear sitting a little lower than usual, the rebound is slow, and the rear end also feels stiff while riding in the city. For these issues i took the bike to the service centre and all they did was lube the links. The squeak went away but the stiffness and low rear end stayed.. Rode it for about 500 kms and the same squeak along with all the other issues has come back. Im very confused.. Kindly help. Should i get the rear shock replaced? Or what should be done?

Nothing wrong with desi jugaad. You can pay Ohlin 1,000.00 USD for rear shock or spend few rupees on heavy duty large spacer (like you did) and make do of desi shock. Himalayan is not a bike that you would want to spend 1,000 USD for shocks on. www.ohlinsusa.com/parts/2016-2019-royal-enfield-himalayan-street-s46-shock-re-907.
