The legs to hold the movement up might have been ordered out of the U.S.A.. I ordered one set from over seas and I had the same problem. Some were not deep enough and some didn't even screw into the brass piece. This was a great video on the little clock, even though there are times we all have a brain fart and mess up a bit. Yes I don't think they are one of the more common vintage or antiques in the US. I believe they exported more to Great Brittain.
