If you get sponsored by them again you should do a tribute by dry aging a steak in the powder.
Lovely and delish video Guga, very very mouthwatering.
Please try marinating steak in pizza/marinara sauce for 24hrs
Guga can you please make the best Venison steak ever????
Do funyuns steak next
Guga, I would love to see a video testing all of the best expirimental steaks you have tested vs each other or in a bracket style so you can get more videos out of it and see which is the best!
You want Guga to start the literal tournament arc of steaks?
@@MattBrain9336 yes! yes! yes! yes! yes!
@@MattBrain9336 yes exactly
@@MattBrain9336 you're idea is the best!
Please don’t promote products that are scams❤️
You should do a dry aged steak with the Dorito dust you made i think that would taste amazing!!
@@unknownuser069 I suppose that he's actually doing it. Guga never disapoints.
That sounds like a great idea, and he should definitely try it !
Yessss
@@unknownuser069
I like your thinkin’, Lincoln! 👍
i thought he was
You guys have a such a great chemistry during the show! Guga as the master chef/mad scientist, Leo as the analyst, and Angel as the flavor specialist and comedic relief. Love the videos my man.
Can't imagine a video without Angel in it. His brilliant insights and commentary bring the whole thing together. 🤣
I agree. Angel is down to earth and his comments are from the heart...and the stomach!!! Leo's a nice guy, but he always sounds like he's reading a food review from the Miami Herald!
Just wanna say thanks man! After seeing your channel I decided to become a grill-master myself and asked my parents for a smoker/grill for my 17th bday. Since then I’ve made some pretty great steaks, burgers, and ribs inspired by your videos.
Starting earlier than most man, good on you!! You should start a channel and play around, why not!
Bro great move chicks love a dude who can cook 👍
definitely start a channel man
+1 to start a channel! I've been inspired by guga as well to start grilling as well
@@DarkToleSon Good idea. Once I get the basics down maybe I’ll give it a shot
The fact that this isn’t sponsored by Doritos is a cardinal sin for their marketing team. They missed a great opportunity here to collaborate with you!
Why? They just got free advertising.
Nothing would’ve been different other than them losing money lol
Lol moreike they win with the added free marketing.
@@scottystcloud7086 i dont think its surprising
nah i think a lawsuit for exposing their recipe would be more likely lmfao
Absolutely love your guys channel, have been bingeing it so hard. All three of you are so likeable and have helped me relax in a somewhat turbulent period in my life. Many thanks guys - much love from the UK!
Doritos dust compound butter is clearly a future experiment. The different flavor chips will make different steaks. Cool Ranch and Spicy Sweet Chili will go over better than Nacho I bet.
Hell yeah! Great idea!
Dude the thought of a spicy sweet chili dorito steak made my mouth water lol that's a great idea
Verde wouldn’t be bad either.
You my friend are the forward thinking mind all foodies need
Don't forget Doritos Salsa Verde.
A few months ago, Inspired by Guga, I put cheddar popcorn powder on chicken. Highly recommend. I think I'll try it on a sous vide steak tonight. And I gotta make those nachos for my family some time too!
Powder flavoured steaks tend to go poorly in sousvide, better reverse seared
@@dylanzrim3635 When guga made his Mac and cheese powder steak he did it sous vide and said it's one of the best experiments he's done
First time I saw Leo I felt he was throwing it off but now Leo's commentary is a highlight. Also Angel needs more sneaky revenge or him leading the experiment videos. Guy has a nice Guga influenced charisma. Great channel love you guys.
😂
You gotta love Leo’s descriptions man he’s on point with giving it how it is!
I don't know if you've done it before, but seeing the dust made me think about chip flavored compound butters... nacho cheese, cool ranch, flamin hot, and more
Yes, cool ranch would be quiet interesting
I love your videos Guga, never stop uploading.
I've never seen the boys so happy after eating something. Guga your killing it brother.
I wasn’t so sure when you started adding Leo into the videos, but he has grown on me. Love his input on flavors and textures! He is very articulate on the matter.
Going to try a steak in the AG1 powder? Never thought of Dorito steak. Marinating a steak in salsa tastes great.
I use cardboard eg cartons for charcoal, it'll ignite the charcoal
You can also use the bag too once you've used like half of your charcoal.
And a steel bucket with a few holes in it will ignite charcoal the best of all these options
you should try using Jambu, is an brazilian herb that basically numbs your mouth, would be fun to see a creative usage of it.
Jambu is also an Indonesian word for guava, maybe a little unnecessary info for people that didn't ask, but hey, glad to share.
@@hio.hinomaru21 Do both Jambu's at once and make the most confusing video ever
Didn't he already make a steak that numbed his mouth
@@samayosuguch.8137 I really like this idea to try both 👍
@@lancetheking7524 he did schezuan pepper i think it numbs but its a very different felling
Hey Guga! I really love your videos and you have really helped me improve my skills cooking steak! Thank you so much 🙂 cheers!
I love watching Guga while I eat my lunch at work. For some reason it makes me enjoy my lunches way more.
Guga needs a side dish cook book😂
would have never thought of doritos on a steak. but it seems to have worked and worked amazingly. Now I am gonna have to try it. thanks for sharing.
Love it! Would love to see a video with Cool Ranch Dust 😊
Okay, i watch your videos all the time, and i am actually an avid home cook myself; however i must admit that i have never attempted to replicate your recipes before.
But i am 100% making this Dorito dust steak! I am honestly so impressed with the level of research and trial and error that you go through with each video in order to get things just right. You are a cut above the rest Guga, and there doesn't seem to be a ceiling with you. You just keep improving. Thanks for all your content, you continue to entertain and inspire your viewers. All the best!
You should make a video where you comapare top 10 or 5 experiment steaks of all time and rank them with the boys. I would love to see that! Love from Poland, you're the man Guga!
Rafal, click on his telegram link and claim your free prize... hahaahha
@@AzamatSlowedAndReverb sure thing 😂
I was hoping to see the compound butter version. Since it was the one that (in my opinion) won the kraft mac and cheese tasting. Still a great video and i'm looking forward to trying it myself. Cheers
I haven't seen a video from Guga that I didn't like!! Keep 'em coming!
I just want to thank you because you’ve been such a huge inspiration to me and you’ve actually helped me so much 😭 Before I started watching your videos I could not make a good steak if my life depended on it, but I followed the way that you cook your steaks and I just want to say it works extremely well, so I just wanted to thank you for teaching me how to cook steaks, they’re not anywhere close to your level but whenever I make them for my family the only thing I hear from them for the next day is about how good they were so thank you so much 😌
Try this with seaweed, nori, dust. Also try something with bonito flakes or konbu dashi, some Asian seafood flavors mixed with steaks or some other kind of meat might be interesting
We are going to need a part 2 for the Doritos Steak but with the other flavors of Doritos
Yeah, at least cool ranch and some of the spicy ones.
Guga you make me forget my struggles sometimes apart from being an amazing cook you are super fun and here is where I get a smile always thank you ❤️
You should try vacuum marinating vs regular, I've been curious, seems like the perfect channel for it.
Man I thought for sure there would be a Dorito's compound butter one.
I thought for sure he’d be dry aging steak in the powder
Came here for both of these 🤪😂😂👍👍
Agreed. Take the recreated powder and turn it into a compound butter.
Same
Can you dry age steak with berbere? You could even use berbere for a compound butter or just plain seasoning.
You're the best bro. Love all your vids
I love the videos. They help me relax after work 😁
Well, now I’m inspired to make a Dorito dust compound butter
I'm pretty sure that cheese dust on Doritos is the same stuff they use on Chee-tos. If that's the case, it does have a proper name. It's officially called cheedle.
I'm a little surprised that you didn't make a compound butter out of it this time.
I was gonna say I feel a compound butter would have been insane
Don cheedle
Cheetos seasoning is not the same as Doritos seasoning
@@Scott-rf5ux Good to know, thanks!
i really love watching the three of you ❤️❤️❤️
One thing I’ve always found with deep frying anything covered in crisps (chips in your case) is that they lose a lot of flavour. Would love to try a combo of both. Deep fried in Doritos for the crust and then the dust sprinkled on top.
expected some compound butter or full blown dorrito seasoning instead of just sprinkling it on :D
still nice vid
I must confess, I had cold feet on this episode, because despite liking Doritos, it is so strong I would expect to overtake all flavor... Now... When you are going to try aging a beefsteak with jabuticaba, Guga!!! Come on!!!
I’m trying this next week! 🔥🔥🎉
Loved the video and all the others. You should try an experiment with a5 wagyu fried in sausage fat
Here's something I don't think you've tried:
Fermented Shrimp Paste.
Also known as BAGOONG in the Philippines and most southeast asian countries.
Commonly found in most asian supermarkets or well stocked asian sections in mainstream american supermarkets (ie not that hard to attain).
Perhaps try initially as a compound butter?
Or a dry aging method?
Or a marinade when putting into sous vide?
I'd be interested to see if you're down for trying, Guga.🤔
Never thought of that lol
Hmm kinda like a surf and turf.. like the idea 👍
He be combining chips with my life savings 💀
I love watching ur videos coz you guys are so relaxing but im always so hungry qfter😅
Thank you for the video! ☺♥
Hey Guga! I'd love to see you do another Guga vs Restaurant. Specifically Gyu-Kaku. I tried it for the first time with some friends (and it definitely wasn't something I'm used to at home) and am dying to find out how they make that marinade for the secret pot.
Dude you are so lucky you got chosen by the guga robot, click that link bro
i think the telegram link is a scam to hack your hard earned page using gugas likeness
MSG that’s why they’re good
Those nachos look so good! That is for sure a side i will treat as a main course!
I'm surprised you didn't do a Doritos compound butter! I was hoping for that! Love you videos
There's really no reason for this to *not* taste good. Doritos are loaded with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and probably the most important reason this works so well: MSG. You put that on anything and its gonna taste better. Should try this again with the Spicy or "Bold" BBQ flavor ones. Actually just do a "what's the best Doritos steak" video and do every flavor you can get your hands on.
This is the first time in Guga history that I’ve tried an experiment before him. I used to bread chicken with Doritos before deep frying and I even did it with homemade jalapeño poppers. Only downside is the salt content , Very salty
Simple recipe... would love to try.
Guga I love your videos it’s so cool I’m shitting rn but I love watching your videos while doing it idk why but it’s kinda cool
When you grill a prawn, the fatty stuff in the head part becomes so delicious, like a prawn butter. I wonder what happens when you mix it with steak.
not shrimp tho right? cause i sucked the head from a shrimp and it was DISGUSTING nasty and bitter i had to go to the er with horrible stomach cramps and pains
Surf and turf? idk
Maybe mortar and pedestal shrimp into a paste...hmmm, un fermented shrimp paste....high end restaurants do do this btw ramen, fried rice, etc etc
i said dodo, lol
You know they use juniper berries to make all sorts of pickled fish dishes.? Its a crazy flavor.
I think a juniper dry aged steak would be CRAZY tasting.
Yes! My 2 favorite food groups in one dish
Every time i see a Guga video Im like must watch....
Hey Guga! Love your videos and have been a fan for a good while now. I remembered it might be a good idea to do a little looking back on all the foods you tried and maybe do some sort of list from the best of the best to the not so best of the best (maybe even a bit simpler like a top 10 or something similiar). Basically, from all the foods you tried so far on your experiments, which one was the best? Have a wonderful day!
I loved seeing their reactions all at once to the last steak. 😆
Always appreciate Leo's comments on the food!
Love the videos. Can't stop watching them! I don't know if you guys have done this already, but I've always wondered what an "every meat" burger would be like. Mixing ground beef, chicken, pork, turkey, fish, etc. into one patty and grilling it up. That's my suggestion! Keep up the great work!
binging with babish has a video of a all meat burrito that has everything from beef to rattlesnake, wasnt too good iirc
Hey guga can you make a video with three of the same stakes but three different types of char coal to see what’s the best to use
Can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this channel. I’m super overwhelmed rn idk where to start my journey
Guga u should do a top 10 video of all the experiments u ever did and see which is the best steak
I was just thinking the other day about what if you made a steak and added doritos to it. And then I found this video. I love wat hing all these steak exoeriments
Yo i love the side dishes, always using them!
Looks very yummy!
i gotta say, using the crema on anything is good, amazing choice for the side dish!
Geniuses!!! This type of innovation should be rewarded
You should do a best of the best. Take all the experiments that worked and put them head to head! Could even do it Tournament style and have multiple episodes until you crown a champion!
I think I need to try this, since I love cooking
Now this is just making me hungry!
this man never fails with the good content.
Guga your steak is of course the best and I love your methods, but the sides are just so good! As much as I love steak the sides you choose are just so good...Love you Man!
Guga, you ned to make a compilation at the end of the year of all your side dishes!
I have wanted to put doritos dust on a brisket for so long but didn't know where to find it or how to make it. I will definitely be trying this now.
You should make a dorito compound butter! Great video
Gotta give it a try for sure
Hey Guga, greay video! I recommend trying starfruit marinade and compound butter on steaks. Cheers!
Woulda liked a compound butter with that powder you made!!
Halfway in, now I want to know cool ranch recipe :D
Be carefull about your health Guga i wanna see more greens !
Keep up the good work
I have been subscribed for many years now Guga. I don't know if I ever suggested a video idea before. I would love to see, all Guga steaks but....smoked, vs charcoal vs gas vs sous vide vs deep fried vs pan
Love this channel
Guga, could you do a dry age experiment with your regular steak seasonings? I think it would be pretty cool.
Guga, if you can, you might explore Chamorro cuisine. I was born on the island of Guam in the Pacific and our food is island fair - a fusion of Spanish, Filipino, Asian, and Island cooking. The barbecue and marinating is a little different to many recipes. You might do another steak video involving chamorro marinading or any of the dishes straight up.
It's a new and different idea that I don't see on too many food videos but at any rate, it's just another idea if you or your team haven't considered it.
Keep up the good work!! Your channel is the bomb!!
Next you need to try it with the cool ranch ones
I was hoping you were going to butter baste that dust. Amazing
Leo entrou no canal pq ele sabe descrever com detalhes todos os sabores que os steaks que o Guga faz. Desde que ele entrou eu curti muito as descrições que ele deu!
For sure Guga is my favorite RUclips
I never thought of using chips like this but I've definitely used chicharones/pork rinds in a similar way. Delicious!
You listened to the comments about the ranch seasoning in ground beef, legendary Guga
You should try marinating steaks in some of the things you try!
You know whats a good idea do the same process but then with like 10,000 tubs of mcdonalds fries sauce that would be amazing (just think bout it that freshness from the chives or w/e they use and that green gloop nom nom i think since its related to the mayo style condiments. Much love and keep making great video's.
You should try frito twist on a brisket
Thank you Guga for a Dorito dust powder recipe... time to make some Dorito compound butter... 🤤
Blue cheese crumble steak experiment! Maybe sear one on blue cheese dressing, top one with a blue cheese compound butter and top another with just melted blue cheese crumbles?
