Our Go 1 arrives today. We chose Velotric in large part based on your reviews of the other Velotric bikes and it looks like the Go 1 will be great for us. We chose the Go over the Packer because it’s got a shorter wheelbase so it won’t be as “bulky” in the garage yet it still has the ability to haul a lot of gear. I can’t wait to try it out. @@Rob337_aka_CancelProof we like it a lot so far. It’s mostly for my wife (though I enjoy it occasionally) & she likes the step-through frame & the small-ish size for a cargo bike. We’ve added a kids seat, which our son really likes. Really happy with it overall.

Those CST big boat tires are good finally they are coming with street tires. A proper dual kickstand for a cargo bike. Plus love the fact has a built in AirTag which is something always add on bikes, it built in already to this one. Finally they are refining the new e-bikes and going UL certified route.
Careful with those air tags, there's a lot of potential for mischief and misuse with those and even more nefarious potential with air drops
Nice helpful for cleptos or skatterbrained mislapses, looking for a good generic air tag alternative for budget for other things as well
I love the center stand. I never buy a motorcycle without one. It's good they are putting them on e-bikes now.

That was amazing for a 500w motor with 2 adults going up the ramp from your parking garage. Although, that girl didn't look like she weighed a whole lot.
All they need to do is develop a top 'cage like' to attach to their (large or medium basket) so those who have pets can place them in the basket without having to worry about their pet jumping out or falling out from the rear :) If they make something of this nature I can then carry both of my dogs on the bike along with my camping gear rather than adding an additional trailer to pull from behind.
Hi Matt, I am enjoying your video's, nice scenery, and good real world testing...... I am in Africa. The voltage vs battery "indicator" is down to program choice, "animating" an icon takes more programming than just a plain voltage read out, so, voltage readout would be easier to obtain than an animated icon....... So the choice there I would say is just down to 1 of 2 things, screen "real-estate" or space, to me it seems there is enough space to do a voltage read out, the other, and which I think is most probably accurate, is that for most people a "tank style" full/empty icon is easier to understand. Would be nice to be able to choose though.
Sweet 3 inch tires a great compromise between stability and the skinny ones with no drag but unstable as hell at high speed on anything but a perfectly smooth surface hopefully more manufacturers will adopt that strategy
The kickstand bottoming out made me laugh because that was one of the first things I noticed when looking at pictures.
I have no interest in an e-bike for myself but I ordered this one for my wife and I hope it serves her well. We have a shop near by that stocks these so hopefully they will help with service. I was torn between this one and some others. REI has the generation 1.2 on a good sale right now but I got the Go 1 on a good sale too with some extras. I just want my wife to enjoy riding bikes with me and I hope this was the right choice.
Thanks! Nice 500W cargo bike. Lined baskets are a nice option for an add'l $90 ea. The rear seat and handles for $124 is great for kids. I now see it comes with passenger footrests...

Effect of wheel diameter:
For the same size motor a smaller wheel diameter on a vehicle allows going up an incline easier and also gives longer range. It's basic physics and applies to an ebike, an EV or any other motorised vehicle for that matter.

I wish you could tell us how "strong " the front headlight is in Lumens. Most of the headlights look very weak. Maybe do a nighttime piece to show front a rear light strength? Just a thought 🤔
I don't know the actual spec but I own the bike and the headlight is ridiculously bright.
I have a velotric nomad 1 and the headlight kinda sucks I got a 3rd party one and its great

I have a cheap ebike from Amazon. It gets me about 25 miles on a full charge nothing crazy. I do love it. The best thing for me about the bike is that no matter what pedal assist I'm using, if I hit the throttle, I know I'm getting full power. I love that for the moments, I just need a boost.
The problem with those walmart ebikes are that they don't last because of those cheap components

500w seems underpowered.
Especially for a cargo bike. Not even in the same league as the Lectric Xpedition since for about the same price you get TWO 14ah batteries and a 1300w peak motor.

A branded product isn't always made by the company selling under that brand.
Do a hunting bike at some point please because they're awesome. It's basically a all-wheel drive cargo bike with a huge battery and off-road capabilities so you can go treking through the woods and come back with a moose or a deer strapped on the back or at least some ducks and rabbits (I said ducks because you already got your goose 9:27 hahaha)
I'd like to see a Rambo bike review from him for sure. They got me into wanting an ebike while at a 3d archery event in a couple years ago. Seeing those go up a hill doing 20+ was nuts.

Reminds me of Tesgo Enterprise. I get the nice features and addons of velotric, but Tesgo makes bikes with high end performance. The Enterprise has the flaw of a seat tube battery, but STT/Hum Pro or their larger wheel bikes just have the right performance/value mix. Polarna (Same design team as Tesgo, but US focused drop shipper AFAIK) Hannover is the same "style" as Go 1. A flaw with Go 1 is that rear basket is incompatible with paniers/baskets. There are high torque/acceleration 28+mph ebikes out there, value priced. But you don't review them.
Velotric makes great light weight ebikes, but this seems like a miss to me.
How is it a miss? Good cargo and range capacity while still being a functional bicycle?
@@justcommenting4981 its just enough underpowered to be a miss. It does have some nice features. Lightest bike with double kickstand, huge cargo capacity, water bottle/generic battery mount, usb, thru axle fork, ok gearing. 65lbs is great weight for all around bike, even if its a touch long to fit in elevator or car. Miss for being underpowered, low torque, and weird possibly proprietary display that can't be upgraded for voltage display, and higher speed or more PAS settings. Handicapped power for Packer comparison was a bad choice. Its better in many ways than say a Lectric XP 3, but price is a lot more. Bad decisions that can't be easily fixed with a seatpost or even a fork, are worth waiting for competition that doesn't make obvious bad decisions.
@@pascalj4331 had enough torque to climb a hill with 2 riders. Also has gears which Tesgo 600 seemed to not have, making that bike impossible to peddle if loaded up and power is lost. The only thing I see that Tesgo 600 does better is folding.

We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!
