lol totally I can imagine a world where Daut wins though: 1 relic in the bank, a second one in the top corner easy to get, maybe a 3rd one next to his newest church, and then the long wait
I wish they had played this one out, relics VS feitoria could have maybe been a thing. This one most of all off the others really needed to be played another 10 to 15 minutes. From an entertainment perspective, I'm really disappointed by the sudden resign.
Ugh.. the pros all tap out so quickly. Why not play it out? It was just getting spicy! If Tatoh had bought 100 food at the end instead of resigning he could have started rebooming behind his castle. :(
Especially when the series is already decided, you just don't feel like playing a 5% chance scenario. Especially for players at this level, they've been in these places before and they know what their chances are.
Rebooming with what? He can't get food, only with farms. But those cost wood that he doesnt have and can't get to. He has only 9 vills and is just about to loose the market.
That's not necessarily true. I've sunk an ungodly amount of hours into Homeworld, and I enjoy playing in our tournaments, even when I lose (which happens a lot!).
What might be a cool idea for this is for it to be 1v1 matches but to have two teams of two and have them rotate in and out but have the same number of games. Already love the idea and these videos, just and idea for some variety.
I wondered, since a 'kwak' isn't too far off from a 'cluck', and having grown up around fowl I know they both make a lot of weird noises not encapsulated by either term. It was a really funny moment though. Kinda/sorta related: I once heard what I thought was a horse whinny and was very confused, standing in a pasture full of heifers.
Was kwak, or kwa? I thought it was kwa repeated without spaces and it just looked like kwak because of that. Kwa is definitely very chicken sounding to me. Would be more like kwa kwa kwa
this is honestly my favorite tiny map game ive seen so far. big brain strategy. I guess it took however many games for people to start playing around with the weird possibilities at this scale aye?
Tbh I'm surprised we didn't see fortified churches before on small maps. They're smaller and cheaper, but stronger than towers and provide gold with relics. It's a pretty good building for small maps !
All units and buildings on a higher elevation deal 25% more damage and take 25% less damage from anything on a lower elevation. SotL did a video examining this.
Oh, that only applies to a building's primary arrow. The secondary arrows never have an elevation bonus (they have their own stats and are always at the same elevation as their target when they impact). And the minimum 1 damage that projectiles do when all attacks are cancelled is not affected by the hill bonus.
It think Tatoh resigned because he had no way to collect food, except by expensive in resources and space farms 🧑🌾🥔🥕. Which meant his much lower villager count would put him at a massive disadvantage as the game 🎮 went to the late game. Also, I think the optimal play by Tatoh would have been to wall on the hill area so there would be no space for monasteries 🙏🙏.
Interesting. Daut collected his, so I must have just assumed Tatoh would have as well. 🤷 Probably a misplay from Tatoh to not collect them at some point. Though he was busy and he had already won the tournament, so you cannot be too hard on him. He probably forgot about the shore fish 🐟 were there. @@2rslvl126
He had no way of preventing daut from taking all of his buildings. You could see his monk walking towards Tatoh's market at the end and once Tatoh saw that he just surrendered. His only military unit available to make would never have a chance of killing a monk.
Would be cool to see these maps with a population limit of either 25 or 50, would make it interesting to see how players adapt to juggling eco and military.
Hey t90, if you don't want to just ban towers but balance them out of this early tower rush, move them to castle age. they pretty much acting as castles with this size of a map anyway.
Daut didn't scout Tatoh's stone in beneath his TC. If he did, he'd just tower it and cancel all Tatoh's tower rush. Against Viper, Rubenstock would be the best choice imo.
Don't listen to the haters. These small maps all rule and the meta is good as is. Different meta for different maps - I don't want to see big map gameplay on small maps, I want to see small map gameplay on small maps.
I propose a new AOE2 format: Tower Wars. The only unit can construct are villagers and the only military buildings you can construction are walls and towers (or Donjons).
"this game is gonna go on for hours", he says 30 seconds before the game ends
lol totally
I can imagine a world where Daut wins though: 1 relic in the bank, a second one in the top corner easy to get, maybe a 3rd one next to his newest church, and then the long wait
Petition to call this particular map
Hillimanjaro
Minimanjaro
Take my like in lieu of a signature.
Good idea!

There was no way tator was making it to imp, 2 rams kill the castle
to be fair, dauts already 2 churches, soon 3+, 3/4 of the playabale map, better eco, he just needs wood+gold, could ram or still rush the castle....
This map turns a mountain into a mole hill.
I'd LOVE to see a small maps series of Lyx vs Rubenstock.
Or Andre vs Rubenstock? Rematch of the longest game ever on the smallest maps ever?
"I just cannot see how this game is gonna end." --> Game Ends
finally a good and intersting counterplay from daut in a worse position. didnt expect that, great one :D
Really liked the use of Armenian bonuses in this one. Hope to see them more in the next small map series.
wow, monastery counters castle , didn't see that coming
T90:''This game is gonna go on for hours'' , 2 minutes later it is over :)
Gotta love the commentary
Me who mostly follows mountain channels getting very confused by the title before I realised this was a T90 video.
awesome series. cant wait to see more smallies

@@mrkv4k He has safe wood under the castle
I guess when you've wasted 20 thousand hours on a game you don't actually want to play it anymore unless you are going to win. Kind of depressing
That's not necessarily true. I've sunk an ungodly amount of hours into Homeworld, and I enjoy playing in our tournaments, even when I lose (which happens a lot!).
This one was my favorite in the series, awesome stuff with the fortified church drop.

Fun fact: animal sounds are represented differently between different languages. Perhaps 'kwak' is how Serbians understand the sound a chicken makes.

It's over, Daut. I have the high ground!
this is honestly my favorite tiny map game ive seen so far. big brain strategy. I guess it took however many games for people to start playing around with the weird possibilities at this scale aye?
Tatoh knew his castle going up bought him time but only that. He was doomed by how desperate the castle drop was. He knew it.
Classic monastery drop to win the game
Tbh I'm surprised we didn't see fortified churches before on small maps. They're smaller and cheaper, but stronger than towers and provide gold with relics. It's a pretty good building for small maps !
I'm learning so many things about chickens here from the expert. They're truly fascinating creatures.
Wanna see a community game (wo exploding kings, ofc) on a mini map like this
What a mayhem it would be!
a true king of the hill game
I just finished the smallest maps playlist last night so good timing t90
Vivi would be entertaining on small maps, he thrives on chaos and being annoying to opponents
We should get a community game on this with everyone capped to low pop

@@T-West Oh cool, now we don't have to watch your video. Thanks for the explanation!
@@T-West Thanks, honestly I knew nothing about that
5:28 Daut would call that a kwakwall 😂
Also I wonder if terrain height affects building range, but not damage?
No, that's wrong
I really enjoy these "the smallest ..." maps. It brings a methodical approach to a match thats easy to overlook as an amateur player.
Only one person in the chat noticed that Tatoh sold 100 stone before immediately buying it back.
Converting the villagers would have been really funny
So, what is the huge announcement? Will us youtube plebs know as well?

The plan for a towers-only cup: Surely the suggested 2 Towers 1 Cup is the best title?
Hera will love playing these games - perhaps have a small maps tournament
Yes, that is a chicken noise...he needed more aaaaaa
Kwaaaaaa kwaaa-kwaa-kwaa
Viper V Hera minimap series would be funny to watch
Viper vs MBL
You know he would make it interesting and he loves it when things get chaotic.
"The game is going to go on for hours!"
Look at the timeline: or 1 minute!😅
Idea for small map tournaments. Mod that removes hot keys other then control groups.
This video made me believe in Daut as our savior.
Would be cool to see these maps with a population limit of either 25 or 50, would make it interesting to see how players adapt to juggling eco and military.
They never make military
They wouldn't make any military. Those settings would just push them even more towards the tower war.
Well... They never had more than 50 population
It would need to be on turbo speed to be enjoyable.
Props to Daut, the Armenian church was the biggest brain move of this whole series in my opinion 10/10
Hey t90, if you don't want to just ban towers but balance them out of this early tower rush, move them to castle age. they pretty much acting as castles with this size of a map anyway.
My idea would be to reduce the base range by 2.

masta-piece
Apprently T90 never heard a real chicken.
Best gameplay on a mini map yet
Too bad Tatoh gave up so soon!
Awesome series
You could pick 2 random players during a stream to play the final small map 😂
Great game, lover.
Let viper vs jordan play it.
With their chatting it would be fun
damn I wish this was played out
low elo tiniest map toruney would be epic
How do we play these maps ourselves?
Search for a mod titled "More Small Maps".
@T-West Thankyou legend
More small maps!
what abou Tiny Map The Fat Slop Edition? Tiny Map Michi with both of them playing Vikings 😄
I'm enjoying it.
Kiliminijaro! 😏🤣😂
Why not ask Rubenstock and Lyx to play?

biry vs theviper for next series pls
I tower and quick wall Aaaaafricaaaaaa~
Pimplemanjaro
Post #28 asking for a youpudding/(old)phosphoru-style duel on tiniest maps (and probably last-again until another youpudding or tiniest map video)
i think we've discovered the meta for the smallest maps, and i dont think its very fun.
I propose a new AOE2 format: Tower Wars. The only unit can construct are villagers and the only military buildings you can construction are walls and towers (or Donjons).
Well I know just the series for you..Oh wait
You talked about hill bonus and towers for minutes without referencing the hill with the dead tree?
So it was so small, even Kilimanjaro cant fit in the thumbnail? 😂
would be funny to see a match where towers are banned. what are people gonna do?
viper vs hera
boring
Can we do tiny map team games?
I think we could fit a 2v2.
A 4v4 you say. Excellent! @@T-West
These maps are really fun but the tower meta it's pretty stale. If towers were banned these would be more fun to watch.
thoughts on 2 towers to start with in feudal, then +2 more allowed for each age you reach. so 6 tower limit by Imp. all i could think of to balance it
scouts plxxxx
The POWER OF CHRIST ! ❤
Bro you should just tell them to play on a little longer, instead of having to explain to us what would have happened everytime
I'd love to see Viper vs Hera play a set of ten on these maps
14:40 ok no more small maps until 2025 guys
They should just increase range for archers on hill. And increase damage for infantry
Could have linked the TWest "Tower Video" in the description at least. smh my head
Seen this already
The blue guy is indonesian maybe.
Ban Towers and Tell the players they must play the games until completion
t90 blind
DAUT lame two sheep
he gets so caught up in his own monologues so easily lol
