It's good for Apple Users but for Android it's not necessary unless it's not your car and you drive it occasionally. Android automotive is the next step, it's way better, Android auto is more for cars which doesn't have Android Automotive.
But why use Android Auto when you have a complete Android OS already running? I would rather like to know how to connect automotive to the internet for data? e.g. to use RUclips Music installed on Automotive (not Android Auto). What you see in the video is that Android Auto is in another resolution (worse), that the applications running directly on Automotive. Which is why I would rather use Automotive...
@@FernandoMiguel You don't need android Auto to have a call, you pair your phone, it's not android auto pairing. In my case, I won't use Android Auto anymore, it was just for waiting for a better solution, which is Android Automotive, and the missing apps will come anyway. My phone will be used for calls and data, and it's gonna be able to rest without getting too hot, because android auto is very demanding.
@@YannR34 never had heating issues with any of my devices. But I usually place them in a well ventilated location. Also, there android automotive will never get any updates. And your phone does. So new features will mostly come only to android auto, and very few to automotive. Just see how old this version of android already is on the Megane. (android 10)
@@FernandoMiguel I drive a convertible so it becomes very hot. And sometime it even reduce the functioning because of that. And you are wrong the system is updated regularly, as well as the car.
@@YannR34 I have one on order... we shall see. I have a decent amount of reservations about it gaining new features or getting regular security updates
The cockpit and the multimedia system wow👌👌👌

Android Auto has way more apps, you're automatically logged in to all your apps, and you are not dependent on updates by the car manufacturer.
Hope you do a similar video on the Alfa Romeo Tonale infotainment.
Yes I will 👌👍

"Then it asks me if I want to aloo it. So I press aloo here." 😅
🫣🤣👍
@SDADanCars love the hints thanks for the vid.
Rude
Why do you need android auto if you have Google automotive services!?
Not all apps are available on Android automotive.
It's also a much older version of Android.
You need to pair your phone to receive calls.

How to connect IOS because I'm having a lot of difficulty
I like the glossy black plastic and shiny screen: Let's you see all your fingerprints and dust. Yejjj
