Here you'll see FDNY Squad 252 and it's second piece rig respond to East New York for a hazmat call in the 39 battalion. The 39 battalion requested a hazmat response after a call for chemcials in a drain with people feeling ill, which got squad 252 on the box. Big thank you to the squad 252 crew for the hospitality during my stay. Enjoy as they respond with real Q2B and EQ2B.

Serious question - unlike the London Underground where the tunnel size dictates the size of the trains, what is stopping the appliance builders making their equipment wider other than making the station house entrances wider? How much of an issue is this now or will it be in the future?

It’s not too big of an issue, it’s just that these houses are from the 1800s. There’s not too many in the city, however they do exist. If you search up engine 236 they have a much skinnier house

@@vitaliyfdny8238 As an interested observer from the UK, who had family in the London Fire Brigade from 1919 until 1987, thank you for replying.
I appreciate every city has its own constraints with vehicles. Seeing many excellent NYFD YT contributors' videos of appliances squeezing out out their houses, I was just pondering what the future plans might be. I hope some compromise is found to keep the older fire houses intact.
