Aurora Gunn's South Bank Show on J.R.R. Tolkien, the Lord of the Rings, and Peter Jackson's trilogy. Presented by Melvyn Bragg. Interviewees include Peter Jackson, Terry Pratchett, Humphrey Carpenter, Ronald Hutton, John Boorman, Sir Ian McKellen, Christopher Lee, Ted Naismith. Readings by Simon Russell Beale. Broadcast in 2001. Apologies for the lost credits at the end. Two edits have been made to remove excerpts from Ralph Bakshi's film (the rights holders reserve their rights to such an extent that the original upload was totally muted because of a few seconds' worth of footage). Revenue from the ads goes to rights holders of music & film used in the programme including ITV, Atlantic Records, and Warners, plus Google, not me.
