thought/space: ep5 : Arboretum

Visitors to the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden are surrounded by towering redwood trees, chirping birds, swimming ducks and flowers in bloom no matter what the season. That’s what draws Dean Helene Dillard of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences to the serene spot on campus each day for a lunchtime walk. The peaceful sounds of nature help her “slow down and think it through.”
