Lead generation is one of the most overlooked skillsets you can have as a sales and business development person.
If you can't get meetings with your dream customers, well, you don't even have a chance to sell anything!
I'll be showing you the 7 key lead generation strategies you have to know if you want to flood your calendar with new meetings every month!
    1) Send 75 Cold Emails and LinkedIn Messages Per Day
When you're doing any sales prospecting to generate leads, send about 75 cold emails and 75 LinkedIn messages per month. These platforms have limitations on how much you can send per day without getting penalized.
    2) Write Like You're Writing To A Friend
For your cold email and LinkedIn messages, make sure your copy is written as if it were written to a friend. If you want success with lead generation, avoid corporate speak.
    3) Don't Share Too Much Information In Your Cold Outreach
The only goal of a cold email or LinkedIn message is to get a meeting with your ideal customer. Hyperfocus on that.
    4) Have a Clear CTA (Call-To-Action)
At the end of your cold email or LinkedIn message, make sure you have a clear call to action. In most b2b sales prospecting and lead generation, this usually means booking a meeting.
    5) Follow Up
If you want to schedule more meetings with cold email and LinkedIn, make sure to follow up at least 2 to 3 times.
    6) If Something Is Working, Double Down
If a lead generation channel is working well for you, double down and scale your efforts. This means that if your cold emails are working, find more prospects via cold email and scale.
    7) Have Fun
Lead generation and business development can become tedious. Find ways to gamify the process and celebrate your wins.

Me too. 75 is a laughable amount and you'll barely have time for anything else
Unless you have a team of 10 - 15 people to handle your actual services, prospecting, project management etc
And the headaches from all those clients would be insane lol

There are some GREAT points here. I want to mention though that staying vague, so you can "get a meeting", doesn't work that well 2023. People need a bigger reason to meet. I've noticed that in myself as well.
If I'm going to give you a meeting, I may or may not end up becoming a client. However, if I'm going to spend the time meeting with you then I want to know that you are someone who is good to know. That you are a good business connection.... AND... I definitely want to Learn something New. I would have a meeting with someone from a cold email if those criteria are met... AND I believe I am NOT alone on that. Thank you for your work Patrick.

Hoping with the ubiquitous of data nowadays and moving forward, we could match supply/demand for the ease of both parties! :)

    • @patrickdang
      @patrickdang  3 года назад +2

It includes the the follow ups so you'll have to be aware of that when you're scheduling. You can personalize for a specific pain in a specific industry. If you can find lets say 20 companies that have the same problem in the same industry, the reader will feel like it's personalized for them.

@@patrickdang I still think that's insane and borderline counterproductive Sir
For example I handle web design and SEO services for startups with 2 - 50 employees
Just getting 100 leads a day and checking their websites if they have outdated websites OR if they aren't ranking properly on Google can take 10 hours because you'll check like 8-10 before you see 1 that has a crappy website
When would you have time for family, social life, WORKING on websites for current clients?
From my experience over the years. 10 - 20 cold emails a day is the sweetspot as it let's you contact 300 - 600 a month which should land 1-3 clients for $3k - $15k each
And that on its own requires you to vet 80 - 200 companies and their websites every day

    • @patrickdang

@@william_SMMA Hey if that works for you, keep at it. I personally find that people who sell commodity services have trouble getting a high response rate so I'm offering a different perspective to make their proposition more unique. You can also use software to speed up the process of checking websites vs. doing it manually.

Problems: the time that consume to do the research, and then qualified the leads for your ideal costumer (I have become a detective online), then being organized to create a database, and finally to follow up.
I just starting to a new position in other company, in the same industry but I can feel the changes when you work for a well-known company to an unknown one in the market, mostly people do not want to work with at the begining and to create the relationship with the client its where it comes harder.
