Each layer is like a galaxy, you delve deeper in and you get to another level which would be solar systems and then again into atomic structure. All levels forming the same patterns at different scales because they are all connected by a common master equation, unlock the information at your scale and unlock information about the whole structure.
I agree with this. I mean, how the heck does DNA 'know' how to replicate and how to interpret genes? How do genes know how to express molecular properties in totally unique ways. How do molecules 'know' how to attract, repel and combine? How does attraction information travel between particles (and stars gravitationally) that are separated by 99.99999% empty space? Is our purpose as humans, merely for the universe to 'know' itself?

@@thorham1346, I'd like to see a link to these other ones you're talking about. This video here is the very first time I myself have ever seen a Mandelbrot Zoom in 3D _with perspective._ The other 3D zooms I've seen had absolutely no perspective. (Not that I have been searching. I just stumbled across this tonight.)
@Carl Green, if you understand Descartes' Cogito epiphany, then you know that there is only one piece of reality which can be proven beyond all doubt. It is quite possible that absolutely everything else that is taken to be reality is actually only Maya. Pure illusion. The Matrix pulled over your eyes. And that the only thing that exists is oneself. The harshest version of reality, solipsism, is where oneself is the only thing that exists. Solipsism cannot be disproven. And curiously enough, this view where the only thing that exists is Oneself happens to match closely with these various religious views that there is God which exists above all else. The distinction between the two views is in whether or not there are these other entities which exist when you zoom down much lower down the Ray of Creation, to use a term which Gurdjieff liked to use. In either view, it is the imagination that is Infinite. And you are probably familiar with the mainstream religious teaching that humans were made in the image of God. The actual meaning I see here is that we human beings have unlimited imagination, as the Ultimate does. It could be said that we are fractal morsels of Divinity. And so this entire video can be experienced as connection with the Ultimate. But if you zoom into a region that is centered within a member of the Mandelbrot set... a realm where the sequence does not diverge, then you get the never ending black void. And there are creation myths which understand this to be the state from which all of this infinite complexity has sprung forth out of. _Creatio ex nihilo,_ as it is referred to. Like how physicists teach that the Big Bang sprung forth out of utter Nothingness. Taoism would teach that utter Nothingness is indistinguishable from the Ultimate. Back in the 70s, Chuck Hillig wrote a book that is simple enough for children to read, yet has the most profound teachings about our existence. That being Everything Everywhere is the same as being Nothing Nowhere. And maybe that is, how you say, fucking beautiful. But for me, the fullness of beauty is to be found as is shown in this video. On the edge between EverythingEverywhere / NothingNowhere. This is how the concept of Logos can be understood. Logos is typically translated to mean Word. But the concept, in the original Greek, runs much deeper. It also means Proportion. And so this Fractal Zoom video can be understood as the beauty found at this proportional mix of Nothingness & Everythingness. It is a video of the Logos. This is what Bernadette Roberts teaches as the meaning of Christ. It is this connection which humans have, in potential, to the Ultimate. This ratio of Finite & Infinite. The concept of Yoga can be used as a synonym. Yoga means to be yoked, as in the connection between human to the Ultimate. In Christian terms, this is how Holy Communion can be understood. To be fully in connection with the Infinite Source. Yoga is typically spoken of merely as these contorted body positions. But the full concept is so much more. And Sin is spoken of as this bad thing, but it means simply to be lacking in this connection of yoga. The Jewish tradition has this exact same concept of connection between the Finite with the Infinite. It is symbolized in the Star of David. The Seal of Solomon. Their word for this is Shalom. Shalom is typically translated as Peace. But here too, the concept means far more. It means Wholeness. It means the peace of mind which comes from a human being who is connected with Source. The two triangles of the Star of David has one based on the ground pointing up, representing us as finite beings, and the other based up high reaching down, representing the Ultimate. The intermeshing of these two triangles is yoga. It is Christ. It is Logos. And in purely mathematical terms, it is this edge of the infinite fractal where the empty sea of darkness meets this colorful explosion of light. Let there be light. But you would not be able to experience that as light without this contrast with darkness. These are mathematical representations of Good and Evil. Zoom out backward, and it would be like reversing time. And if you reverse the letters of E V I L, you get 'live'. The dark side is a necessary component for our experience of life. And so, while many experience life as being less than what it could be, we are actually living in ultimate perfection. It is the imperfection which makes it perfect. We have just the right amount of darkness mixed in with our experience of light. And this holds for every moment of our experience. Every frame of the video. This is the understanding taught by Leibniz with the worldview known as Theodicy. Absolutely everything is absolutely perfect. And even our failure to recognize it as perfection is absolutely perfect. Physicists teach a similar concept in the method of Lagrangian Mechanics. The trajectory which anything and everything follows is an optimization of kinetic and potential energy. In your mind, if you have the goal of, say, tossing a basketball into the hoop, you might think that the perfect path would be a straight line. But the optimization shows that it is actually a parabola. And that parabolic path is pure perfection of the Lagrangian. In life, we feel these intense frustrations. We fail to recognize the perfection of it all because we want things to be in these straight lines, but what is actually being optimized is determined in this realm that we do not have access to in our normal waking state. And so we perceive it to be imperfect. We see the extra distance of the parabolic path to be this waste, when it is actually the ultimate harmony of kinetic and potential. We are ignorant to this higher order realm of what exactly is being optimized. So when something happens which inflicts pain, we see that as a needless waste. But it is there for a higher purpose. Well I've written far more than I jumped into this thread wanting to say at first. I merely came here to express agreement with Babala's understanding that it is Consciousness which is Infinite. Everything else, absolutely everything, could very well be an illusion. And it is impossible to prove it otherwise.

And it is impossible to prove it otherwise.

lots of energy put into this..this is great with a background meditation singing bowls or flute or anything that will relax the mind to focus on what's about to come...i love the effect💚👏👏👏
It's normally really hard for me to visualize mandelbrot zooms, but the lines moving into the fractal actually really help. Normally at some point it just becomes a mess of strange lines and points, but this is actually easy to comprehend.

I personally like the visual effects of these beats. And it's two hours long. Nice to throw on in the background when I am doing chores. Or to uplift the mood.
I like those beautiful flowing puffy textures! Sad they don't have that in Mandel Browser...
My veins carrying the LSD i just ate around my body.
Got to admit, this would probably be too much for me on acid. I would be better off staring at a white wall. Maybe near the peak though... well i probably couldn't operate my phone well enough to start the video at that point...

I honestly watched the entire thing. It is beautiful. Thank you for making this.
Love the color scheme and the 3D effect. My favorite of all time.
This fractal is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.
This is incredible... and also a little terrifying - I had a recurring nightmare as a kid that was extremely similar to this that I have had a hard time explaining my entire life. Now I've got a visual aid...!

Not sure what I think of this. Its an unsettling experience of infinity, in my opinion. Very impressive notwithstanding.
This is actually really terrifying for me
@Bastet why
D. K. I was probably high
@@crossingn6451 on what?
As a guy who only does caffeine, I can also say this is terrifying. The idea of eternity, endlessly searching the depths for an end, everything being an infinite mathematical variation of the next thing, it's all terrifying. And besides, most of the shapes almost look like strange creatures.

When i see the Mandelbrot set. I always think its a Huge Ecosystem rather than an Infinity.
It's like this ecosystem is dancing to a tone of harmony.

It’s amazing that maths can go much much much deeper/smaller than the planck length (the smallest physically existing length) , or much much bigger than the size of the universe even if expressed in tiny planck length units.
First time watcher of infinity. Stunning. Gives me a sense of flight. The music is amazing. Upbeat yet calming for me. WHO does this cool music?
That 3D effect is really something else!
I never saw a fractal made up of such pretty pastels before. Very nice:)

ah!!! how wonderful to relax on a Sunday afternoon and journey throw the Mandelbrot set and be welcomed by baby minibrot "Rupert" LOL.
Someone needs to make one of these in 3D where if you turn your head, you can move in another direction and steer yourself though you would have to have shit made for every direction at all times but man what an accomplishment that would be.
There is a software engine that does exactly that, it's called Mandelbox
they make that actually, it's called DMT

This has got to be one of the prettiest fractals I've ever seen, th e colors are gorgeous! 😍
Sure would be a great visual above me when i fell asleep gazing upon infinity
I wonder if this would inspire incredible dreams while falling asleep
I feel inside it but also outside, like if the perspective of it could only be partial to us
I became obsessed with fractals after my very first DMT experience
do you think that dmt just finds you when the time is right? I have always wanted to experience the spiritual side of dmt but have never even heard of anyone having it in real life, even when i was in college

It's even more amazing when you are up close n go backward or forward towards the screen like rocking but sitting in one place 🤯😅😅.. it like slows it down.. that's awesome.
This video would be an EXCELLENT computer monitor screen saver!
I sure do love taking a trip to infinity
Imagine being stuck there your entire life, falling, falling, falling...
At least it's beautiful.
On the plus side, it's more accurate to say "shrinking, shrinking, shrinking", as, depending on your size, you'd get held up by some babybrots beneath you that you couldn't "fit" in/under/between/through.
@@fazaazafg that's the attitude!
Would you rather be stuck somewhere else? Stay static for too long and you’ll see why life must keep going..
