  • A relaxing full colour 4-hour journey into the deep depths of the Mandelbrot. This is now the deepest zoom on this channel, going to a magnifiction of 3e3284. That is 3 with 3284 zeros after it! (Try zooming in that far on your phone).
    This zoom uses a very classic colouring method and the pallette covers the full spectrum. This video seems to look best at the 4k setting (even though there is higher resolutions available, it was uploaded at 6k).
    It is possible to present this video with NO mid-roll ads thanks to Patreons supporters, and NFT buyers. So releax and enjoy.
    Due to RUclips's 100gb file size restriction, this video is uploaded in two parts. Part 1: • Infinite Relaxation [P...

    I play this at 1/2 speed. There’s just too much beauty to have it rush by so fast.

    This was fun to play with this morning. 👍

    This is your best one by orders of magnitude. The color mapping is exquisite. Bright, contrasting, yet subtle. The region and the fractal has more depth than anything I have seen before. Powerful waterfall effect. My eyes were locked on for 20 minutes right at the start.

    It takes only 2 minutes and 15 seconds to essentially zoom in from the observable universe to quantum foam

    First shape repeats from the beginning to the end of the depth. And that is true for every starting point in the set. AMAZING

    Fractal universe has gotten ahead of his faster and farther zooms
    You have gotten ahead of your beautiful zooms
    You surpass him

    I don't know a thing about the math behind it, (I do have other great qualities of course 😉) but this video is gorgeous!! As is the music. So thank you for creating this!!!

      Wouldn't it be a beautiful world if this was required listening 16 hours a day?

    I have a request. Can you create another Perpendicular Mandelbrot based Christmas zoom video? I as a fractal-enthusiast play some of your classic christmassy zooms during our yuletide festivals and festivities and we especially voted on Perpendicular Christmas as being the "best one yet" *one meaning zoom in this context.
    I would like to shock them with another Perpendicular Christmas video. Perhaps looking into a similar location as the last one (Curlicues, Seahorses, etc...).
    Thank you for considering Perpendicular Christmas in the first place.
    Happy Holidays and as Glenn Clark once said "Peace on earth, good fractals to men". Good fractals to men indeed.

    How long is your string of code? It can't be a simple equation, can it?

    • @Periwinkleaccount
      @Periwinkleaccount 3 года назад +6

      Believe or not, that’s how fractals are made! Only one equation.

    • @MatthiasUrlichs
      @MatthiasUrlichs 3 года назад +6

      @@Periwinkleaccount Well, the actual equation is simple, yes. But then you need to run this formula 2 million times or so. For each pixel (there are 20mio pixels or so in a 6k frame, but you need oversampling for making a smooth video, so at least 80mio) of log₂(3×10³²⁸⁴)=10911 key frames . Using 11000-bit-or-so floating point math.
      Then you need to scale the data and get the colorization right and create ~a million images (4 hours of 60 fps in 6k) and then feed that to a movie encoder and then pay for a fast-enough wire so uploading 100G to RUclips doesn't take until the heat death of the Universe.

    How many iterations do you need to produce such a clear zoom?
