SYMMETRY is the wrong choice from the design intent and application point of view. The selection of POS and SYM should not be a personal choice. That's how it sounded in the video. In addition, SYMMETRY and CONCENTRICITY are not recommended to use at all. As a matter of fact, they removed both characteristics in the 2018 standard (ASME).
Hi T.O. Thanks for the comments. ISO 1101:2017 clause 17.15 shows the use of symmetry (I'm not using ASME Y14.5). I could use position for the alignment of the slot to the axis of the shaft and would normally recommend to do so.
yeah, it's a problem with the microphone interface. However, there is little i can do about that now. If you can find anything better go for it, it's not compulsory.
