Overall I am liking the look! Three things stand out though. The nation symbol, cost and art box borders all look so clean while the rest of the cards are more weathered or textured in look. They look a little out of place to me. The textured parchment, card text and and border look like cohesive whole then the other 3 elements look pasted in on top. I think it is because the costs and symbol are shinier than the rest of the card, and with the art I think it is because it runs right up to the border of the card and the shadows around its edges. They still look good though!
Fair points! I agree that the sharp border of the art is a large contrast to the tattered and stained parchment. Yeah you identified it, I also think the art stands out because it runs right up to the border. That being said, I can appreciate them trying to make the art as large as possible. Honestly, I think I would rather see larger art than have them trim the borders to make it look more tattered, although I see your argument against it standing out. In regards to the nations crests, I feel as though that is something which should be sharp and pristine. I do see where you are coming from in regards to your complaints though!
