Love/hate opened for Skid Row in 92 during the slave tour, with LA Guns if I recall correct. That night was intense.

Wow, that is a gig I wish I had been at. I always loved Love/Hate, I was alone in that camp in Iceland more or less though. Never got it why they didn't become huge. LA Guns I didn't really get to know until much later. Thanks for watching

Love your review. Scotti and Snake are an awesome duo! Honorable mentions: Adrian Smith and Dave Murray of Iron Maiden, KK downing and Glenn Tiptin from Judas Priest, and I'd say Warren DiMartini and Robin Crosby of Ratt.

I really wanted to hate the album, since I hate their interviews in recent years, claiming they didn’t need Bach, yet were playing in flea markets parking lots. But this, here, is actually good. Grönwall can sing like Bach did

Although it is not always an easy listen, the album gradually reveals more of its intentions and, in the end, makes sense as the next natural step in Skid Row's more multifaceted musical development.

Fantastic review. I too disagree with Sebastian about just about everything. I'm sure either one of us could have a beer and talk music. But, he's just too much of a head case to deal with. They've got the closest thing we'll ever see to the original Skid Row sound with a guy who has an identity all his own on vocals. Can't wait to get this in the mail later today.

@@metalandrockzone i think they missed an
opportunity with time bomb to be an epic masterpiece of a song.
i like this album i love timebomb but that melodic chorus in time bomb does not fit that song. should have had an angrier chorus in timebomb. i would love to hear them redo that chorus with something closer to the "tear it down" chorus that chorus is angrier and should have been done in time bomb the chorus makes him sound more like a bunny rabbit then a ticking time bomb.
i love the guitars drums solo and even eriks voice and singing in time bomb until that chorus. once that chorus is done its back to a great song again. i hope they try to remix that song with a different chorus.
the band belting out tick tick tick or im a ticking time bomb with erik doing that boom part would have been epic IMHO.
skid row is back dont get me wrong waited for 30 years for this.....

@@dvvaughn564 Actually this overly melodic part I felt also on World On Fire, it reminds we of some Swedish Power Metal, Hammerfal etc. Maybe it is the Erik effect.

@@metalandrockzone album was written and recorded for ZP i am sure they changed some for erik but from what i am hearing it was done pretty quickly after erik recorded his vocals.
i have listened to many interviews about this album and adding erik. yea i am a hard core old skid row fan. key words being OLD SKID ROW. world on fire was actually angrier then time bomb in the chorus. i just do not understand why they did the chorus the way they did for time bomb.... missed opportunity, and from some reviews and comments on time bomb i am not the only one that feels this way.
going to be honest first time i heard time bomb i hated it, got pissed thinking i preordered this album and it was a mistake.
thought it was the tick tick tick i hated but no its the damn melodic chorus in that song.
the tick tick tick actually fits ok...

@@metalandrockzone but if an album does seem to go by that fast, I suppose it's cause it's grabbed our attention and didn't bore us. Albums full of "fillers" seem to go by so slow. This album doesn't do that at all.
