I have an Austin XL and a Series 7 for the big get togethers and Series 5! I'll be using all of them in August for my Daughter's wedding doing 7 prime rib, 9 beef tenderloin and 40 chicken quarters! "DID YOU SEE THAT ALIEN" GREAT VIDEO MAZIE!!
Did you see that alien!? Good advise! All depends what you do the most of! I have a vertical smoker but I also make almost 50lbs of deer jerky each season so it's the best option for me!
Did you see that alien? I’ve had one of the other pellet grills for 18 years. My next ones going to be a Pit Boss Savannah. Hopefully before the summer is over.
Great video, very informative but I think you need to file a police report because someone obviously vandalized your grilling area, they put a steelers sign up!!! Go Chiefs!!! lol Thanks for the vids! Just got an 700 onyx and trying figured it all out.
Hi Mazie. I was considering buying the pit boss Austin. I went to Walmart and I thought the quality was very poor. Very light steel compared to the Pitt boss pro series 850 from Lowe’s. I do belief that pit boss makes a less inferior product for Walmart to keep the price down. When lifting the lid of the Austin compared to the 850 there was a total weight difference in the steel. I know that the 850 is made using 14 gauge steel, I think that the onyx series is much less. Let me know what you think. Thanks again for the great video.
Question for you. I've always had a propane grill, but have been interested in smoking, etc. If I replaced my grill with the Pitboss onyx classic, if I just wanted to grill one quick hamburger, how much of a preheat time should I expect? Basically, with the exposed flame function, what is the preheat time?
If you see an alien, you must be on crack! 🤣 JK. I have Pitt Boss's #1 smoker. The Titan. And I love it. Even cleaning it is soooo much better and easier. I have yet to use it as a grill tho. Mainly smoking meats.
Love your vids Mazie, you're just goofy enough to *make* me say, "Did you see that alien..."!
I have the pit boss savanna and I love it I do everything in it and really enjoy your videos

When using the grill aspect, you can leave the sear plate closed throughout the cook until you decide you want to sear, right?
