!!!IMPORTANT!!!! Question 18 is wrong!! Oceania is NOT a continent, it is a region of the south pacific ocean that contains 4 sub regions, including australia. Australia is in fact its own continent. You need to fix this!!!! 😊
I think it depends on where you're from - I'm French and here in France, we learned in school that Oceania is a whole continent (and it includes Australia), even if the word "continent" (continuous or connected land) is kind of losing its meaning when we're using it to describe a large region that contains thousands of islands. "Continent" is more likely used to describe a geographical region, like Europe or Asia, even if these two "continents" are part of the same continental area (Eurasia). If you do some research on the subject, you'll see that the concept of a continent is a cultural and historical construct, and there is actually no right or wrong answer. So in our case, Australia is a continent for you but is part of the continent called Oceania for me (just like Europe and Asia are two continents for me, but it could be only one for someone else) 🙂
I’m sorry but that is simply not true. That is like saying depending on where you are from the number of oceans varies. The definition of a continent is “one of the seven large land masses on the earth’s surface, surrounded or mainly surrounded by sea”, while Oceania is “ a collective name for the islands scattered throughout most of the Pacific Ocean. The term, in its widest sense, embraces the entire insular region between Asia and the Americas.”Australia is it’s own continent 😊
@@ashleyking3295 You may have learned that Australia is a continent, but I have not ! And a lot of people from non english speaking countries learn that Oceania is a continent that contains Australia (the country) and a lot of other countries (Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Kiribati, Fiji, ...), so it's a lot more inclusive. But as I said before, there is no right or wrong answer - the definition of "continent" is not very clear cut, it has geological, geographical and societal connotations. I understand why you may think that I'm wrong, because I educated myself on the subject and I understand why you're saying that Australia is a continent by definition. In French, we use the same word "continent", but it has evolved further from its original meaning, and it is now used to describe the regions of the world. On our maps, continents are regions that must include all the land in the world (including islands). So before you say that I'm wrong, just think about the fact that we can learn different things depending on where we are from - there isn't a world wide agreement on this subject 😊
(if you want another example, you should look up the meaning of the olympic rings, and you'll understand why I'm saying that Oceania is a continent. "The international olympic committee follows the five-continent model, typically followed in multiple parts of the world, which says that there are five continents on the planet : America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Oceania.")
I am sure you have google in France too. Just saying. The olympic rings are irrelevant and olympics are full of satanic symbolism. But I will agree to disagree with you.
Just took the quiz and realized I know less about general knowledge than my cat does about the weather! 😂😹 How did you do? Can anyone else make it through without Googling everything?
5:06 Australia is itself a continent. Oceania Is just a region which consists of all islands in central and south pacific ocean it includes Australia as well. But Oceania Is not a continent.
I am so highly confused by the question about what continent Australia is part of? The seven continents of the world include AUSTRALIA. Oceania is not a continent but a region.

The third question is wrong because the continents of Asia and Europe do not exist. This is one continent of Eurasia. And yes. Eurasia is the largest continent. Not Africa.
@@tylerclarkwiestproductions Because continents are the largest land areas. There are six continents: Eurasia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica and Australia. Continents vary in size, coastline outline, internal structure and topography. The largest continent is Eurasia, the smallest is Australia. This is a school program.
@@tylerclarkwiestproductions The division into continents is made on the basis of separation by water from other continents, and parts of the world are rather a historical and cultural concept. Thus, the continent of Eurasia consists of two parts of the world - Europe and Asia. And part of the world America is located on two continents - South America and North America
