I made the mistake of getting a platinum in the legendary edition a week ago. I’ve played Skyrim forever and can say that I took a very optimal route. The worst part is the achievement “Legendary” where you have to kill a legendary dragon. If you thought getting to 50 was hard, the dragon starts spawning at level 78. I refused to exploit my leveling, so I ended up grinding enchanting and smithing. It took me 59.5 hours to get the platinum.
Yeah I got that trophy too at the end of this video. I respect you for not using the exploit but man its such a grind I just wanted to finish it off! Congrats on getting it 100%ed
Listening to this as I 100% Skyrim on Steam after getting the platinum on PS4 I don't love this game. It has it's flaws, but it never fails to bring me back childhood memories
To those looking to perfect/platinum their skyrim, make sure to build the 3 hearthfire houses first and do not do season unending/do civil war first before main questline.
Yeah thats an extra precaution you can take, I managed to get that trophy after the quest-line however so its still possible. Maybe something to do with siding with the imperials.
Thats been on my list for a long while, only issue I’m unsure on making a video is its very story/experience based, so making a video might ruin it for people if they haven’t played it before. Tricky one to do.

I love Skyrim, but I wish we wouldn’t become the leader of every guild. We could be a level 10 nord and complete the mage guild quest and become arch mage while only being able to cast the flame spell for five seconds.
i just started my platinum run on pc as well, gonna marry lydia in homage to my first play through on ps3, took me 4 years to beat the game when i originally played
You know an easy not too exploitative way to get a skill to level 100 and keep getting levels is to enchant fortify alteration gear and use telekinesis on an item - once you use the spell on the item, if you fast travel to a far away location across the map, then it’ll level up Alteration to max level and you can make it legendary to keep levelling up your character
Causal: "I am waiting for the Skyrim PS5 edition" PC Gamers: "Nice, I use a horse carriage to work someday too just to see how people look at me funny"
Actually our trophies/achievements are the same, the only difference is those achievements you're talking about are DLC ones for us and they're not tied to the main 100%. I still did them though as mentioned but decided not to include them in the video to keep it from being too long and repetitive.
Why does everyone think spamming Iron Daggers is the way? Just get the transmute Spell. The increase in Level is bound to the value of the Item. Smithing gold is king here. I've been there my friend but i left the path and touched midas hand
I went for plat on skyrim and accidentally started the volendruug quest so the giant killed all the orcs and now I’m one daedric artifact away from the plat but I’d have to start the game over again and get all the artifacts again😭

I also have Platinum in Skyrim. It wasnt a big deal because I had already played 300h and had the most achievements already. And I would say, that Skyrim is the game with the best levelling system I have seen yet. Way better than the Witcher or Hogwarts Legacy.
Yeah its not too bad as-long as you avoid any missable achievements.. But with the levelling system I have to disagree. I far prefer Fallout 4s of killing enemies and completing missions gives you XP, mainly because after doing every single quest I was still some way off level 50, in Fallout that wouldn’t be the case. I cant say the same for the Witcher as I haven’t played it and for Hogwarts Legacy I need to go back to it.
It's pretty lucky you didn't need to do the DLC as well. Dawnguard adds the Legendary dragons, one of which you need to kill, and the lowest level they spawn at is 78. By far the most annoying bit in both of my times getting all the achievements in the game.
Hey buddy I don't know if you finished the video but at 17:40 I mention about starting the DLC to help level up to 50 and you can see I've done it all, and at 18:20 I get the trophy for Legendary, thought it was nice to include it but didn't want to include the rest of the DLC to prevent the video from being long and repetitive.
@@JohnCalum Yeah admittedly I didn't see that. You're right that I didn't watch the whole video, I was focused on something else and I just wanted to look at what you did, and since the final trophy count was not the same it is on steam I assumed the DLC was not included, but I was wrong.
@@JohnCalum I suggest starting with eaither Zer0 or Salvador as those 2 are the ones you need to put the most time into to get their class specific acheivements. In my experience Zer0 takes longer then Salvador

One thing for Smithing levels. It levels more for sell price of items. So turning iron onto gold and then making gold rings is way faster
I’ve heard this since, all the fourms pointed me towards iron daggers, stupid. Wish I knew beforehand. Oh well the exploit still worked wonders 😂

If you do this on Xbox there is actually 75 achievements and some of the extra ones are pretty difficult.

I tried to get all of them on xbox and like half of the story achivements didn't proc and the dawnguard quest bugged out💀
