In this video, we are going to be going for the Sonic Superstars Platinum Trophy. The Platinum Trophy can be challenging due to the Golden Enemy Hunter trophy which requires you to defeat the golden enemies and complete the rest of the level without dying.

i just beat the main story of the game and believe it is not a skill issue to struggle on this i spent about an hour on the final boss and i still want to try and platinum it but well done on suffering through this to bring us such great content

Also, if you think Sonic Superstars and Sonic Colors: Ultimate are bad, you should try to platinum Sonic Forces. It's like getting kicked in the testicles twenty times, then coming back for more because sunk cost fallacy says you have to.
I have heard some horror stories about that game and that scares me 😭😂 Maybe for a sub milestone I’ll want my testes to feel some pain 👀

Great Video. If it makes you feel better, almost everyone I’ve seen playing this game has complained that the boss fights in this game are terrible.
Saw a review that said they would have given the game a 9 but then the bosses are so bad it puts the game down to a 6
I completely agree with that, whilst I wouldn’t have given the game a 9 to begin with? the bosses definitely drop it down lower. That does make me feel better however thanks mate 😊👊🏻
You should platinum sonic mania if you hadn't already. Challenging, but very doable.
Its a toss up between that, origins and frontiers at the moment!

If there's any Sonic game I recommend getting all the achievements in, it's Sonic Mania. It doesn't have a platinum trophy, but it's still a blast (and it's cheaper)

There was a glitch in the game were you can be super sonic without losing rings. But too bad that glitch has already been patched out.
And because of that glitch. It made the Fang boss fight 50% easier. Including getting all of the golden enemies
And I got the Platinum after buddy Bond trophy
Damn yeah that would have made the game incredibly easy in comparison.

yeah... While getting a good understanding of the physics and momentum of the classic sonic games helps alot... the bosses suck so badly. Frontiers is alot more relaxed when it comes to trophies btw.

Yeah the classic games have a very special feel to them that takes some time to get used to and a couple replays to master. If you master it you can get some crazy stuff done and keeping the speed up becomes the main goal. Super Stars while having the feel down pretty well is not a great first impression on the gameplay due to shaky level design and awefull bosses. If you want to give the gamepaly style another shot I would fully recommend Sonic 3 and Knuckles as a go to. In my opinion the best of the classic games. Just maybe avoid playing it through Sonic Origins and instead go for Sonic 3 AIR. Just a suggestion though. If you just dont like it than thats fine too.@@JohnCalum

Sonic superstars was hell, i juat gave up on the true final boss 'cause i much can i suffer. I liked the main story's level design personally and the rest is so fuckin' bad.
Btw, sonic frontiers is actually really fun and chill. And the platinum is really easy

Hey dude, I'm going to give you a 'head's up' but if you are playing Sonic Frontiers for the achievements:
1. You do not have to play the DLC content for achievements.
2. Avoid playing 'another story' on one of the islands or enable 'hard' or 'expert' difficulty. (There are no achievements for difficulty.)
3. Do NOT collect every single token on a map, as there is no achievement attached either.
4. Use Fishing Portals (This will alleviate grinding for tokens, gears, etc.) Also if you run out of purple coins, download the Monster Hunter collab update to gain access to a bonus minigame you can play within the fishing menu. You can earn fishing tokens that way too.
5. Use the Cy-loop ability for unlimited rings. There's no punishment.

Most of the trophies are pretty easy in Frontiers, with the only troublesome one being using the phantom rush 50 times. My tip for that one is to attack the spring enemies on the second island over and over again without stomping since they are invincible.

instead of playing the trash side of sonic games first, i recommend sonic generations, sonic unleashed, sonic 1,2 and 3, and sonic mania plus. even tho some of them are hard the games are pretty good

I'm a big fan of Sonic, the classic games especially, and yeah, these fights are awful. I really like the actual levels, but I also know this kind of gameplay super well, so I don’t know what the newcomer experience is like at this point.
You probably should've played Sonic Origins over this. Those games are definitely better, and the achievements are pretty easy. I still haven't gotten every achievement in this because that golden badnik one sounds really annoying.

I definitely will pickup origins at some point and I’m sure the response will be much better.
@@JohnCalum I hope it clicks with you better. Sonic 3 & Knuckles is in that collection and is probably the best game in the series, so if you don't like that; you might just not like Sonic. Origins gets some flak, but is probably still the best official way to experience those games, even if 3&K's soundtrack is worse.
Also, I think these boss fights are genuinely the lowest point in the franchise, so be glad you've experienced the worst of it, I guess.

If you’re gonna do a 2D sonic game, you should’ve just chosen mania the best 2D sonic game with superstars being one of the worst in my opinion I hate that game with the burning passion I had full confidence and now I’m filled with disappointment if you’re doing 2D do mania if you’re doing 3-D do frontiers adventure one, adventure 2, or generations unleashed is really good in my opinion, but it’s a long one
Mania and Origins are high on my list for doing 2D sonic, if not the ones you mentioned. The Sonic x Shadow Generations remaster might be an option too in the future
