This is the floor plan for us. I saw a couple on here that live in one with the same floor plan and theirs was beautiful! They didn't have this outside upgraded paint pkg but it was a nice rig and they were full timers. This salesman on here would've had me walking out with a new home, so professional and thorough and seemed like he takes pride in the product and the customer! I am saving this for when we are ready to pull the trigger on a new home! Great video!!
My husband and I are full timers and we have this rig! We love it! It has plenty of storage for us, our 8 month old daughter, and our two fur babies! So glad we got it!
If Grand Design reads this?? Put Light Switches in the under compartments so they come on when you open the doors, an go off when you close the doors!!!!
This review is awesome! We are about to purchase this model, and we have visited the model multiple times but Tim's information confirmed that we are making a good purchase. Thank you for doing great, great job. Hopefully, we'll see you on the road someday.
I was struggling to hear him sometimes and the captions didnt help they were off. So I hope you will make another video like this great walk through with lavellier mics or somehing that will
Mr. Taylor has a wonderful radio voice! Beautiful rv with all the bells and whistles. We would love see a small 20-24 foot Grand Design if it's available. Lou & Angie 💚❤
I wish more RV manufacturers would put the windows around the bed! We have this in our RV and when looking at other RVs, it’s the first thing we look at. If there isn’t windows wrapped around the bed ... we go to the next RV. We’re going to a RV show in a couple weeks, I’m going to have to look for this model! Thank you for sharing!
I am in love with the floor plan! Its like they took what i wanted in my head and built it. Thanks for the video and walk around. Seems like the sales guy is actually very knowledgeable also. So props to him!
This floor plan is on our short list for when we go full time RV! We absolutely love the basement storage and the large bathroom. All our short list models have either a rear bathroom or a front bathroom. Our plan is to do what you guys did to the dinette... turn it into an office space as I will still be working full time. We also love the GDRV company's philosophy towards their customers and their build quality.
Hi Rae & Jason...it’s been a minute for sure! What a beautiful Fiver - def a full timers dream rig, with all the proper amenities and storage to boot! That “Televator” is so awesome (my friend has one in his Leisure Travel Van)! Great tour of this very lovely unit! 👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼
Wow!!! I had not even though of what would happen to the leaf drop onto a slide out. We live in a climate that that is not a concern. So it’s just not a thought….wow!, thanks for thinking of that!!!!
Funny thing about salesmen, quick to point out the new and improved at the expense of the old design. Apparently GD sold trailers with steps that "bound up and were hard to pull out" and "storage door latches that never seemed to hold". I wonder if they point out those deficiencies to buyers of used rigs.
Well, you could say the very same thing about all the OTHER brands, as they also make "improvements" -- as if they were doing it "wrong" earlier. But it's not that, time/technology/construction techniques -- and features -- changes and things (usually!) get better and more functional/efficient. Be assured though -- and along with death & taxes -- WHATEVER brand or Class RV you buy THIS year, NEXT year's model will be "better." ;-) I do wish, however, Grand Design would make a smaller (but 4-Season!) 5er for smaller-capacity pickup trucks, something a Ford Ranger could tow (7500lbs limit). :-) -- BR
That's kind of silly. What is wrong with always improving/tweaking? If you bought the first iPhone and now were exposed to the iPhone 11, would you feel cheated?
@@jeffrey8439 If I was in the market for the original "iphone" and the salesmen didn't tell me the steps bound up and the storage door latches didn't hold, yes I would feel cheated. I was only quoting the sales rep who made those comments about previous models.
Aaaaaahhhh! I’m yelling tell the sales dude to step out of the way so we could see the bathroom storage. Was there a medicine cabinet? Does the sink have drawers? Is there cabinets on the bottom left side where he was standing? Motion sensor garage storage 😲. Lol, yeah Rae I’m with ya on ‘mine doesn’t have that!’ And .....Interesting they have room in between the theatre seating for a small storage divider, one cup holder, dang we can’t with our theatre seats - (grumble). Was there carpet under the couch slide outs? It was hard to tell, but it doesn’t look like it and were the couches more level to the ground verses built up? Mmmmmm! .....And ooooh I want a wine fridge too (whimper) and a pull out garbage can..... (sigh)...That was fun! I like this trailer better, figures huh lol. Cheers 🍻.
I agree. I wish the camera person would have panned around the room a time or two instead of just focusing on these two people. I LOVE THIS floor plan.
Nice video! And I’m just like you ~ I get so jealous of all the new features that keep coming out on these things! I’m a single girl full-timer and bought my Solitude brand new in 2017. I got the one w the mid-bunk room & residential fridge, and it was really something in its day. Lol. But gosh now I’m wanting this new model - if for nothing else but the paint job! Super classy looking. Oh well.... I probably won’t full time that much longer anyways.... not sure why I’m even watching these videos. But y’all did a nice job!
Thanks! It's always so hard when you come across something you just fall in love with! Best of luck with whatever decision you make! Thanks for watching!
Just started browsing thru some of your video's. I deliver travel trailers for a living. This 382WB is really 44 or 45 feet but they never count the front cap. DOT does. So from the front cap to the back it is actually 44 or 45 feet in length. Since my profession is deliver these type of trailers for a living I believe Airstream (No slides) & Grand Design are far superior to other brand names. I now deliver almost exclusively grand design with a few winabago's mixed in. But most people do not know those are made by grand design also. Their warranty is tops in the business & we get less grand designs back for factory warranty then other brand names.
Very nice walkthrough video. You can tell that he knows his product, and is good at presenting all the features. The people that didn’t know about the “hidden” storage must’ve had a lousy salesperson. Also, there’re features on this unit that are the exact same on our 2017 Jayco NorthPoint. You can tell that most manufacturers outsource from some of the same vendors. (Hitch, pantry, kitchen island, etc).
The disadvantage to the "Jewelry Hide-a-Spot" is, you have to take Everything off the top of the dresser to get into it!! Would rather have the top dresser draws 3 inches deeper!!!
I own a grand design solitude now and love it so when I get an opportunity to buy another you better believe it’s going to be another solitude. I have had very minor problems and when I did I called grand design first and could not have been more satisfied. The only time I would buy another brand would be if I could afford a DRV MOBILE SUITE.
Not sure how nice that front window would be for those who live in hot weather climates (such as the desert SW)? Love how salespeople can spin China made tires into a 'plus feature' of any rig.... lol. Also, love how the guy talks about the 'fully finished' storage area while we can see exposed beams overhead (not a big deal to me as a customer, just think sales-speak is amazing at times). Nice looking 5ver though, especially with the full body paint.
Don't need a wet bar. Traffic was noisy on outside, definitely quite on inside which impressed me. Loved the bathroom. Not so sure about gas stove,do you have induction cooktop. Not crazy about dining table chairs. Great salesman very knowledgeable.
We are the some timers…. So please also address the folks like us that take the rig out once in a while and use it as a guest house the rest of the year.
I absolutely LOVE This camper. We currently have the Class-S Soliitude with rear living and love it. We are getting ready to hit the road for partial full-time retirement and and are looking for more room with the front living. Can you order this model with out the wet bar sink but keep the cooler.
Congratulation on your partial full-time retirement! You will have to check with the dealer on your question since this was a 2020 model we are unsure.
I have the same issue with this design that I do with lots of other RV's . Only 1 bathroom and you have to go through the master bedroom to get to it. Ok, if it's only 2 people staying in the camper .
Great tour! We are actually considering the 380FL (same floorplan, but has the half bath where the wet bar is). Question: Is there access to the fridge, bathroom (half bath) and bedroom when the slides are in?
We are huge fans of Outdoors RV + Northwood Manufacturing products. BUT - I feel they are really behind on designing their RVs for full time living. Grand Design seems way ahead of them in terms of making an RV something you can live in year round. That front living area with the window is awesome!
I am in the process of paying down all debts my wife & I live in an apartment to do so. We are in the planing phase of going full time RVing & thing unit checks all the boxes for what we want.
I would suggest that you speak to as many experienced full timers as you can. You will learn so many of “the little things” that will appear from time to time and know how to deal with them. We full timed for 5 years and can’t wait to get back to it next year. Best of Luck to the both of you, you guys will love it

Westlake's are decent China-made tires but at this price level they should be using the USA made Goodyears for their stock tires.
Or Sailuns.

It definitely has to be a personal preference based on how you roll 😉
Add pull down ducting cap so u can add blue ice frozen cooler packs quick & easily. 6"or 4"wimpy or 8" if enough over head space, .
I have couple of questions,
1, how long is this camper?
2, how much does this particular model cost?
Usually the model number 382 would be a 38 ft model
Overall length is 41 feet 5 inches, not 38 feet. One website lists the 382WB at $102,000
This Solitude floor plan reminds me of the Heartland Big Country.

What a wonderful salesman
Sounds like Florida with those noisy 🚙 ! I know exactly where this is and how noisy it is there!!
The wet bar is cool but with the rear master you really need a half bath somewhere in the mid section of the camper...
Well then you’d love the 380FL! It’s the exact same layout as this one except there is a half bath where the wet bar is.
I like the Grand Designs, however I don’t like the dark wood, would prefer lighter

Full Timers here with a 2 year old 310GK. Love it, along with the 3 cats.
I love the colors
Beautiful but I really wish Grand design had an option for white or lighter cabinets.
It could happen, you never know! Did you see the newer one we did on the Solitude? The interior is lighter! ruclips.net/video/A_No14KKPSE/видео.html
It’s definitely better!
I liked to hear him do my review on my new Reflections, where is he from? Like to hear his other videos, well I know Lazy Dayz, but which one an what's his name, I go back to the begging prob., get that there, but if you can help appreciate it. Man nice rig.
I like the concept of the bar layout, however, I do not like the fact that if you have guests staying over on the fold out couches and they need to use the bathroom, they have to walk through the master bedroom. I need one of these!!
Is there a place for a washer and dryer? Full timers need a washer and dryer.
Nice Rig!
Impressive rig
I said it last week I'll say it again, Dang shes adorable! But how quiet was it really? And is there a point in time where y'all get nervous about temperatures being too hot or too cold??
You did a great job showing RV
Like to see the GD Solitude 380FL-R
2nd sink is new feature hve not seen, slick. I would put disposal on smaller sink. Don't need double basin,if u hve whole 2nd sink. Wash &2 butt kitchen hand off 2 rinse like on TV. 2 Normal round bowl w/covers no loss of counter soaking stains.

Great walkthrough. MSRP?
I love the RV I would love to have 1 but can't afford it.
Hey Wanda. Hon most people can't afford one lol. Don't beat yourself up about it. We go into debt for it cause it is considered a home. It can be mortgaged refinanced etc like a brick home. Some people save and buy cash once they are a year older and almost half the price or they get this instead of rent/mortgage and live full time which nowadays is cheapest. Said all this to say the world is yours hon. Don't discount yourself and your desires. You can do ANYTHING.

What size tv can you put where your “televator” is ? Lol.
I dont know about you - but I never knew that was there, but when i did I was YaaaaS
Glad you liked it.
This doesn’t look like a 5th wheel......It looks like a HOME!!
Not one of your better videos with all the background noise. Maybe a wireless microphone would be something to invest in. Other then that, good information on a new GD floorplan. v/r, TS - Denver
How much 2020 rv do they new 2022 rv and if they do how much is it
R you ever going to switch rigs??
Do you receive compensation from Grand Design for promoting their product?
Nope!
Getaway Couple thanks for your honesty
yes
Not a fan of that bar. You should check out the Crossroads Cameo 3921BR. It’s got a true wet bar area.
Thanks for the info!
The sound of the traffic makes it impossible to hear what the guy is saying
I suspect those r values are not accurate, 5-8+ inches of polystyrene, or 8-12+ inches of fiberglass for that r-40 claim.
I can’t find your mattress review video. Help. Haha
how much????
I liked it until I looked up the price :)
What was the price?
Seems nice for full timers but too big for parttimers.
I didn't get a real good look at the bedroom area
If u r going to hve quality stove top & oven seperated, then why not mount it up easy load ht like ppl do at home.
No generator?
Not on this one but you can order yours with a generator if you like!
👍😊
Ya’ll, ya gotta invest in a better camera. That outside camera lighting was horrible.
WestLake tires....
Yes and we used them for 3 years.
@@GetawayCouple Not acceptable for the trailer says high quality but with low quality tires.
