What's important to say that they knew they are there. I visited the royal tombs in Vergina, the final resting place of Alexander the Great's family and all of them were identified in the past already by that archeologist who discovered the tombs in 80s. This must just be some sort of final and official confirmation based on recent extended study of the remains that were identified in 80s.
If someone reads all the ancient informations , he will realize that Alexander the Great is the most important person ever lived here. Son of Zeus, the only non Egyptian who became immendiately Pharoe, Siwa desert, Indian Kaukasus fighting some strange creatures etc. With all the above, the tomb of Alexander will never been found and if so, the body won't be there.....
I read from the title..... finally identified....the puzzling word is ...finally.... why finally it has been established quite sometime already that a few burial sites found and explored are indeed from Alexander's immediate family... kalimera from kalamata.
I believe the theory according to which Alexander the Great bones are collected in The San Mark Basilica in Venice, protected forever under the name of San Mark Himself, who was cremated and couldn't possibly have left his own skeleton for the posterity.

It’s the tombs of his father, son and half-brother. Alexander’s tomb was known to have been in Egypt, first in Memphis, then in Alexandria. The tomb was most likely in the Royal Quadrant, which sank in the 5th century. Too many claimed to have seen the tomb, including Roman emperors, for it to have been anywhere else. (I could be wrong, of course! 😁)

As one of the Greatest Leaders, and the Builder of the Origanal Greatest Repository of the Written History of the World, and Scientific Studies, and Written Prose, Poetry, and Legends... A TRUE WORKD TREASURE WAS LOST... Cleopatra had the scribes copy every book that land on their shores before Ceasar Augustus destruyed it.
Everything I have read about the destruction of the Library of Alexandria states (1) that it wasn't a single destructive event, but rather a piecemeal destruction over many centuries and (2) that Augustus was NOT involved. Keep in the mind that the Library was almost certainly not a single building, but probably consisted of a main building, some adjacent buildings, smaller satellite libraries scattered around the city, and one or more warehouses for storing scrolls not kept in the other library buildings. The main destructive events include: -- A fire in 48 BC that destroyed a warehouse used by the Library. This occurred during Julius Caesar's invasion of Egypt. Caesar (great-uncle of Augustus) and his troops were besieged, so he ordered his soldiers to set fire to some nearby Egyptian ships. The fire then spread to the docks and to the warehouse, which was reported to hold about 40,000 scrolls, or at most about 10% of the Library's holding. BTW, the Emperor Claudius (ruled 41-54 AD) built an addition to the Library, so it certainly existed after Julius Caesar and after Augustus. -- In 272 AD, the Emperor Aurelian invaded Egypt during the Palmyrene War and his troops destroyed most of that part of the city that held the main Library. Apparently, the main Library was destroyed at this time, but it may have been a partial destruction. -- In 297 AD, during the Emperor Diocletian's siege of Alexandria, the rest of the main Library appears to have been destroyed. -- However, these earlier destructions cannot have been all that complete because in 642 AD, Amr ibn al-As and his Muslim army apparently destroyed whatever was left of the Library of Alexandria. These ancient reports may or may not be accurate, but they are the best we have.
@@skysurfer5cva Thank you for that information... I seem to recall Cleopatra was horrified at the Barbaric destruction of the libraries and ordered that a y ship coming into port be searched for scrolls, which were then seized so they could be copied and attempt to recoup the losses from the fires... 8:10 - "the body of a young man who died while young"
Wow, just wow. Talk about lack of proof reading.
So.......we know he was like
........young while he was young
until he died......young.
Youth, in this case, is wasted on the dead.
His body was young, his mind very very old
It's really the body of a very very old man who died while young
