The Baltany 1921 - unboxing & detailed look at a rather unique watch

Today we take a look at the Baltany 1921 which is a homage to the Vacheron Constantin American 1921.
The watch comes in a variety of options, Silver dial or Salmon (bronze) dial. Either dial variant has an automatic or manual wind movement. The watch has a sapphire crystal and a 50m water resistance rating.
Of course, the big talking point of this watch is the rather unique setup that see's the crown placed at the 12 o clock position & the offset dial that takes some time to get used to reading correctly. To be quite honest, whilst I think the watch has a fantastic build quality and a unique look, it's not my cup of tea....i just found the watch difficult to read the time.

Thanks for the review. I previously thought I had zero interest in this watch but the more I see it, the more I’m liking it. I especially like the pearl white dial. And for me, this is the perfect Clomage watch. NO ONE is cross shopping this with the original VC, and this allows us mere mortals to experience something like this without having to sell our home… thanks again!

These are the best "homage" watches. Very nice versions of watches that aren't actually available from the original brand and in a price range where there is no comparison.

The handwinding movement is a Seagull ST1700.

I believe they were designed for racing drivers, so they could read the time whilst they had their hands on the wheel.
