Question…. Can you erase part of the echo quilting on the outside and then add stippling to the outermost portion of the design? I love your teaching and appreciate you so much!!
The way to do this is to first establish a border - It is very easy to do in software and I recorded a video showing how to accomplish this with other fills. Let me see if I can find it.

I have noticed that when you choose a hoop size and add echo or stippling, then go back to the embroidery page, it shows that it's too big for that hoop size and puts you up to the larger hoop. Is there a way to correct this or avoid it?
I haven’t seen this myself. If you were designing in My Design Center, it is possible that you have something outside of the hoop. You can set an inset to stay within the embroidery field.
Fermat, the Xj1 is known as the Stellaire. This machine closely resembles the beloved Dream Machine with a 9 1/2 x 14” embroidery field, beautiful built in embroidery designs and the use of My Design Snap. The interface is similar to the Luminaire with My Design Center. On top of being an embroidery machine, it is a combo sewing machine. You can easily move between sewing and embroidery with the embroidery unit on the machine. I believe that the top end Brother Embroidery machines are built to last for years. There isn’t a home embroidery machine that compares to the Brother for embroidery. As a sewing machine, you will have the power and speed to assemble projects with great lighting. If you are near a Dealer who is offering some special promotions for this machine, ask to have it bundled with software like PE Design 11 (full digitizing software). Get quality embroidery thread too. Also purchase some additional hoops that fit your machine.

You can use your phone or an iOS or Android device with a camera to send a photo of your hooped fabric or a drawing to the machine using My Design Snap. The front end interface is similar to the Luminaire.
