What an informative video and so well explained and demonstrated. I do use folders with date, location but didn’t think about adding information into metadata and batch editing the raw files. I’ve neglected renaming to .CR3 and only named the editing .tif and .jpg (full and low res). I’m going to do that from now on in Bridge if it allows a batch edit on the name. I back up all my folders onto external ssd drives and an addition back up that’s kept on different premises… Your video is super clear on my TV screen. Look forward to the next one.
I’ve have started adding to the metadata and renaming in Adobe Bridge with success. Unfortunately I can’t batch rename using the fields I’ve added in the metadata like you demonstrated in Capture one but I can live with that. I wanted to create a template like you showed without having to add more info but not possible without the metadata fields. Apparently some people have created their own scripts. Thanks again Emil 👍🏼
Emil, This is a great video thanks. I really appreciate the information as I am finding it hard to come up with a good naming convention. Would you kindly do a detailed video on folder naming and why? Thanks again. Bryan
Thanks Bryan. I’ll add it to the list. I might even have a pdf on that floating around somewhere that I wrote a while back. Can try and find it for you if you’d like.
@@Highviewsport1 I’m currently leading a workshop in Madagascar but will be back next week. Drop an email on emil@natureslight.co.za and I’ll see if I can find it when I get back. Cheers
Thanks for sharing, Emil. That was very helpful.

Thanks for watching! Yup, Bridge also has batch renaming. It works in a very similar fashion.

Why isnt it possible to convert the GPS data Latitude and Longitude into Address and City ?
Good point. I have no idea 🤷♂️ that would be a cool feature.
I have subscribed for a while now, and rang the bell, but i never get your videos in my subscription feed.
I’m really not sure why. Sorry, the gremlins in the algorithm there I suppose.
@@emilvonmaltitz ok. Too bad…
@@drwatsonismine I am sorry about it as I ended up doing a video based on one of your early comments.
