Amazing series, Lots of hard work, and a well done finished bike. Just watched all the videos not skipping anything, Job well done. Thank you for recording all the little details while disassembling the bike, it will be a very good reference for working on the virago as soon as I find one worth buying in my city.
Congratulations Peter Haydon. Great build Mark was a lot of fun watching from start to finish. Look forward to the next adventure. Keep on Keeping On. Yes DMV stands for Department of Motor Vehicles here in the states.
You did a bloody brilliant job on the bike mark. Came up fanrastic. Congrats to the winner hope he'll enjoy riding the bike just as much as we all did watching you build it.
The bike came out great Mark. Super job. Congrats to Peter as well. If he winds up selling that little beauty for a tidy profit he should send you half!
Well done Mark! Amazing when you go back to when you first purchased the bike and compare it with the finished project. Great entertainment. Looking forward to your next bike build. You little rippa! 👍
You must have scared the crap out of those poor souls! Seeing little Lucifer riding through their rest place. Wow that is a transformation, that has got to feel very gratifying. Congratulations Peter!
Bloody well done, Mark, not forgetting your able support team Matt and Nay. Peter now has a fun new toy and I'm sure he'll enjoy it thanks to all of the careful preparation you put into it. I enjoyed that series of vlogs too, Mark. What next? When will you start to strip down the Honda, Mark? Making a scrambler should be a hoot. I can't wait! Good luck to you and Nay with the house. You're really getting stuck into it now. God knows where you find the time! KOR! 👍
Hi Mark, that head shake may be incorrect torque on the steering head. You may want to try an extra quarter turn on the steering head nut. Great job though and inspired me to get stuck into my vstar 650.
Looks like the blinkers need to be switched to the other side - tabs are on top and they may let water in - I am not sure though. Fun bike and I really enjoyed the series, thanks...
.... at 8;24 Did you say Hello to Virago's owner , mate .... he was just gazing at you . He said that he is going to see you tonight at your Old bar at 11:59.59 Sharp . Come Alone .... " 😜😜😜😜😜
Cara parabéns pelo trabalho, sou do Brasil, e por aqui não tem nenhum RUclipsr que fez o mesmo que você, gravou e nos mostrou desde o início todo seu trabalho, adorei parabéns pelo trabalho ficou linda
Issue with Vin number, it is handy to keep the old forms with the information on them, makes filling the paperwork out easier, that includes Caravans/Trailers. Bikes got enough power to get outs of its way. light and nimble. Easy on the rear... people still love the spring seats.
Cool bananas - You did an awesome job, mate....it will put smile on someone's dial. The front end wobble might be the the steering head bearings?...if so, nip them up a bit.. Ride safe and ride far - Cheers
On a bike that old the grease in the swing arm and steering head is mud. Whomever buys this bike better tear those bits down and re-lube before the bearing are gone. I have an old bike that I neglected to tear down before riding and the swing arm bearings self destructed in a few miles and harmed the swing arm.
I dunno whether to thank you or swear at you, Mark 😂 kind of got inspired by your XV bobber build and have taken on a '93 XV250 to bob out. Don't know how many owners it's had but seems they've all had a bit of a hack at it.. let the fun begin. All good, I'll just use your build as inspiration. 👍
Looks great, Mark! Shame I didn't see it riding around town. That shake happens on my bike, too - I think it's because of the rearward weight bias - the unloaded front wheel doesn't have the weight to hold it to the road. so the first little wobble builds up into a big wobble, rather than dies down through tyre/road friction. Probably bloody bullshit, but it makes sense to me.
hi there from uk great vids ive got question for you on carb you have one connection to fuel pump theres also a curved pipe at top of carbwhere does that go to plz
Nice result! Pretty cool you remembered us where it came from, one should almost forget how rusty and beaten up it looked. Great example of how you can build your own cool looking bike without spending thousands or needing engineering skills. Now, i'm just curious what your next build will be? (The ride across the cemetery was something else, BTW. Maybe do it again at midnight? Put as little light bar on it? ) Wagga Wagga from the Netherlands!
Congratulations, Looks good. I just bought a little bike for just fun riding. Bought a Yammie SR400. Great bike for modding. Interestingly enough, The Yammie SR400 only produces seven more horsepower than that Virago 250.
The wobble you mention in the steering/bars, I'd start on making sure the front wheel is properly balanced firstly, from there next would be the front wheel has been fitted with the correct spacers in the correct side. All those late nights you've been working on this project can lead to a tiny mistake easily. Lastly I mentioned this to you awhile back is to check the Headstock bearings. One symptom is if you have a clicking feeling when you rode the bike over all those bumps is definitely the Headstock bearings, & the second way of checking if you aren't getting the clicking is the front Headstock bearings are too loose which is making the steering too light. Liked watching the build of this little Jappa, maybe you can leave this issue and a note for the new owner. I reckon you've done plenty to this bike already. Even if it was a way to do a series of RUclips vids.
AWESOME ENDING watched them all. I have the same one. And you helped a lot. Keep riding. COULD YOU PLEASE or anyone here suggest a couple of good websites where i can purchase good quality original and generic aftermarket parts for my build please thank you very much and keep riding
Hey Biker Bits, I'm glad I stumbled across your channel. You would be the best person to ask. In your humble opinion, which is the better bike for cruising around, Suzuki Intruder 250 or Yamaha Virago 250.
Hey MR, Can you really please send a link where i can buy mirrors like that. Im struggling with the same issue like you did. Is it possible that there's an international ship-able link? Thank you so much!
Thanks I did find it and it's in the next video of yeh Man Shed the one with you on the postie bike ... That was pretty amazing what Peter did. We pick up our Virago next week ... Sooo looking forward to it. It will be a tad different to our Ninja 250s. 😁
Nice win Peter, just as well, bloody cold, probably wet, riding her home to QLD anyway.Besides, wifes first words " Another bike, how many bikes do you need ?". Guaranteed.Stupid question really...........
Have you seen the mathematical equation for how many bikes you need? It goes - y = x+1 Where y is the number of bikes you need and x is the number you have now.
+David Gordon that's the one. thank god for single seat rego. and a wonderful wife who rarely enters the shed and couldn't tell the diff between a Ducati and Harley.
CBR 600 was about 650 every year here in Victoria, Like wombatdj said it covers 3rd party insurance and also pays for vicroads infrastructure including planning and managing road network, and safety initiatives, fee is also determined on type of vehicle and where it is garaged
OK so you guys are including insurance too. In Florida as long as I own the bike I dont have to pay insurance. If I have full coverage insurance I dont have to wear a helmet. Not that id ever ride without one
Yeah, here in Victoria we don't get a choice about Insurance, Actual registration fee portion is about AUD $58. We also don't get a choice about wearing a helmet either, lol, although I have seen some 1%ers get away with it at times (funeral processions and the like)
Amazing series, Lots of hard work, and a well done finished bike. Just watched all the videos not skipping anything, Job well done. Thank you for recording all the little details while disassembling the bike, it will be a very good reference for working on the virago as soon as I find one worth buying in my city.
Wow, it's easy to forget how ruff the virago was when you first got it. Lot of effort you put it to bring it back from the dead. Well done fella 👌👍
Well done Mark! The bike turned out awesome and Peter is a lucky winner! Keep up the great work
Congrats Peter. Mark bloody awesome generosity given all the work and effort. Massive thumbs up!

Congratulations to the new owner! Bloody good effort Mark, certainly gave that little bike a new lease of life!
Congratulations Peter Haydon. Great build Mark was a lot of fun watching from start to finish. Look forward to the next adventure. Keep on Keeping On. Yes DMV stands for Department of Motor Vehicles here in the states.
You’ve worked really hard on that bike. I hope the new owner appreciates the effort put into it. It certainly wasn’t a cheap makeover.
Not only a bike but
Mark Victors Blood, Sweat and tears Oh and a few swear words.
Congratulations Peter
And a fantastic job Mark 👍👍
You did a bloody brilliant job on the bike mark. Came up fanrastic. Congrats to the winner hope he'll enjoy riding the bike just as much as we all did watching you build it.

Hi Mark, that head shake may be incorrect torque on the steering head. You may want to try an extra quarter turn on the steering head nut. Great job though and inspired me to get stuck into my vstar 650.
Really enjoyed this series. You have done a fantastic job. Credit to your toil on this little beast.
Looks like the blinkers need to be switched to the other side - tabs are on top and they may let water in - I am not sure though. Fun bike and I really enjoyed the series, thanks...
New fan to this channel. So good to see a bike resurrected from a slow rusty death! Onya Mark.

Cara parabéns pelo trabalho, sou do Brasil, e por aqui não tem nenhum RUclipsr que fez o mesmo que você, gravou e nos mostrou desde o início todo seu trabalho, adorei parabéns pelo trabalho ficou linda

Hey whatsup! I'm buying a DR650 the next week end because of you :P

Probably missed it but what did you do on the left side when you removed the pod?
That head-shake thing is perfectly normal.
AWESOME ENDING watched them all. I have the same one. And you helped a lot. Keep riding.

Hey Biker Bits,
I'm glad I stumbled across your channel. You would be the best person to ask.
In your humble opinion, which is the better bike for cruising around, Suzuki Intruder 250 or Yamaha Virago 250.
It's to close to call that..
Either one
DMV in some states, BMV (bureau) in others.
Congrats nice bike .
Big question what am I going to do on Thursday nights now ?
Not to be morbid, but is it customary to leave the graves above ground in Australia? Is the ground too rocky to dig, or is there some other issue?
What tyres did you put on this ?
@Biker Bits
You are getting nice mid revs at 100KPH. My bike screams when I reach that speed.
What sprocket setup are you using ?
Hey MR,
Can you really please send a link where i can buy mirrors like that. Im struggling with the same issue like you did. Is it possible that there's an international ship-able link?
Thank you so much!
:-) Great job well done!
Should join a MC club and get it club reg. Much cheaper!
ANYONE ELSE READ WHOLE THE INTELLIGENT COMMENT SECTION LOOK FOR THE PETER?
What happened to Peter Hayden getting the bike? The later 2 videos are a year newer when you have it back.
Peter gave his ticket to Matt and Matt paid me $500 for it!
Thanks I did find it and it's in the next video of yeh Man Shed the one with you on the postie bike ...
That was pretty amazing what Peter did.
We pick up our Virago next week ... Sooo looking forward to it. It will be a tad different to our Ninja 250s. 😁
$400 smackaroos to register a moto for a year???! Glad I live in the US. It's only $98 a year my '03 Virago.
Nice win Peter, just as well, bloody cold, probably wet, riding her home to QLD anyway.Besides, wifes first words " Another bike, how many bikes do you need ?". Guaranteed.Stupid question really...........
LOL... never to many bikes! :-) Good Onya mate! :-)

Shocked sitting hire watching the show says peters name I’m like fuck I know that guy lol small world
Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, common sense at a government agency, must be the twilight zone!
gg
LOL :-)
Mark I have to pay 25 bucks for a yearly tag, what do you have to pay?
In Victoria Australia, it's about 470, but that includes Compulsory Third Party insurance - covers the injuries to everyone in the crash.
470 every year?
CBR 600 was about 650 every year here in Victoria, Like wombatdj said it covers 3rd party insurance and also pays for vicroads infrastructure including planning and managing road network, and safety initiatives, fee is also determined on type of vehicle and where it is garaged

Do really think that looks better than the original? You have ruined it.
