I honestly think after "This Is It" he meant it. His focus would of been on his children & movie projects maybe score movies but performing & dancing that was it for him. Maybe re start up his music label & sign artists and mentor them or work w/ his cousins, nieces, nephews & his kids to keep the Jackson Dynasty.

“This is it” we’re to be his final shows in the UK. He planned on expanding the this is it shows to New York, Paris and Mumbai after the high demand for the first shows.
If Michael was alive he would complete his tour in 2009 and he would build multiple hospitals for children and the group would be called Michael Jackson hospitals. Michael then would proceed to launch his MJ universe in Las Vegas where he would build a second Neverland for fans and visitors and he would launch his film industry mainly focused on children animation and sci-fi creations. Michael then would proceed with taking a role like a main character of. Charlie in chocolate factory or something like that. Michael would get his 2 sons in film production and charity work. Michael would still prefer to be behind the scene and use his platform on social media to spread the message of equality and love and care for children. Understanding Michael”s character , he would not want to be in media and spotlight after the age of 60. I also think Michael would allow his company to release compilations of all his concerts in high quality for the fans.

There was no chance of him completing 50 shows. He thought he was doing 10. But had to do 50 to clear all his bills. Poor guy died of anxiety.

this might be a touchy subject, but Michael needed help. More than anything else. Let's just say he went through with the This is it concerts and financially recovered.. his struggles with pain medications and maybe even other substances would've still stayed. So in my opinion, I would've just hoped for him to call it a day after the London concerts, to then make sure he gets healthy in order to live a quiet and long life with his kids & family from 2010 on.
All in all he really just needed to mentally and physically fix himself after everything he's been through, instead of working on more stuff (as much as we would've loved him to)

Great point. I also wanted him to have that relationship and ordinary life he kept on wanting. He stated many times that he wanted to see the world from an ordinary man’s perspective. He wanted to shop at the groceries like a normal person but he could not do that for fans and paps flocked to him like a moth to a flame. I wanted him to heal spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. Imagine all that stuff he went through. Other people who weren’t strong enough would have been committed suicide. The racist media and his sister, Latoya, tarnished his image. The media kept on twisting stories about him that suited their narrative and agenda. I will never forget the World Music Awards in 2006. That was the year after his trial in 2005. The crowd at the music awards went wild and cheered for him it was so deafening he could not make his speech. Then, the next day the media reported that the audience “booed” him. My goodness! The lies they made when it was evident the audience was cheering for him. The media have always been rotten. That’s why we shouldn’t immediately take their stories as facts or truths.
He would have caused controversy, he always did. Even the way he died was so weird, right after confirming his tour. Just like a movie man...so probably we would have some shit going on
If he didn't pass away we would still be smiling and caring for one another, helping each other, not being racist and most of people would be healed by now from suicide and agony even if he wanted to retire and have his own family time. We can do all the what ifs scenarios, but Michael Jackson made it very clear that he was done with performing. There's an old saying, "Quitting while your ahead, is not the same thing as Quitting." If he had his choice, he wouldn't have done the This is It tour. He made that clear in the pre press conference for This is It. In it, he said to his fans "This is It!" He also mentioned in an Ebony article published in early 2000's about how James Brown over extended himself past his prime by performing into his 70's. James Brown put a lot of wear & tear on his body & Mike didn't want to do this to himself. Read the article. He transitioned into retirement without verbally saying it, and chose to be behind the scenes. Mike knew he gave music all he had and it was time to move onto raising his children. Mike lived a FULL LIFE with his 50 yrs on earth. No one will ever be able to do what he did in his lifetime. Everyone during his reign and after are copycats - So let's Stop the comparisons. MJ is the G.O.A.T., And quite frankly, regardless of what anyone else thinks, he left this earth when he was supposed to. He is The Best there was, The Best there is, & The Best there ever will be!!!

Since I wrote my previous comment two months ago my young brother died and I agree with the original comment now, in comparison it is clear that Michael really did live full life including being a father, fulfilling his dreams and leaving his mark in the world. Yes, agreed. Michael was and still is magic. He wasn’t supposed to grow old here on earth or perform at an athletic level that wasn’t his peak like we saw in every tour he’s ever done. I’m actually glad This Is It didn’t happen.
He just needed to relax himself. The fans, the media, pretty much everyone didn’t give him a break which caused him in his medication habits. He lived on pressure his whole damn life. He greatly needed a big break.

I can't see Michael Jackson ever being an actor in a movie and playing anybody but himself. You couldn't look at him and see anyone else but Michael Jackson. Probably why he never managed to get cast in a serious role like he was hoping for.

I personally believe if Michael had permanently relocated to Ireland in the years after the trial, he would still be alive today. While residing there in 2006 and 2007, he was able to live in peace and was largely left alone from the paparazzi and general public. I would have been happy if he never performed again, with a rare public appearance now and then to let us know how he was doing.

He said in his last words that he’s going to do “This Is It” concert so he could fund building the world’s biggest children’s hospital. (He doesn’t know that he was going to die that time but even in his last breath, he still thought of his commitment of helping children). It is undeniable that his sole purpose of living was to give and to receive. To receive so he could give. Such a kind and compassionate human being.
And also according to my research, he was going to make an album in collaboration with Neyo. They’re suppose to make it after “This Is It”.

His This is It concert would have been epic and generated millions for him, it was his dream for his children to see him in concert for the first time too. As a caring fan he needed to acknowledge his opioid addiction and get the appropriate help to manage his pain from his scalp injury. I didn’t realise how hard he worked probably made the most money in the entertainment industry and worked day and night and put so much pressure on himself to always be the best and a perfectionist and that started from a very young age. He would now be 65 and retired and probably doing a bit of music here and there

I think that Michael's kids would have been a lot more shielded from the public eye and that their identities would have remained concealed, so that they could live their lives in private much like his brothers' and sisters' children have been able to do.

If he is still alive right now he would be so shocked at how relevant his songs are today. When he released those songs in the 90s, he thought maybe in 25-30 years the world would be a slightly better place but now he would say "My god all those songs that I released are still relevant right now."
People saying they wanted him to keep working and doing things that strained him don't really care about him. He was so uncomfortable with people looking at him. I just wish he lived in peace and with his children. I also wish he found a true love with someone who really loved him and not just the fame. Someone who loved him for him, for his heart, for his troubles, someone to wipe his tears and appreciates his soul.
This video and most of the comments make me feel sick. He was a joke to the world until he died. I remember the day Princess Diana died and the day Michael died. My world stood still on those 2 days, a surreal feeling that the world stopped moving, time stood still. A desperate feeling of wishing these 2 people had time to just be at peace in life, to have time to relax. Michaels childhood was missing and he also missed out on being at ease as an adult, maybe sitting in a cozy chair with his grandchildren in a world he felt proud to be in. He deserved that, he earned it, but it never happened. I just wish he could've lived and been relaxed and content, spots and all.

I would've love to have seen him retired and taking care of his family. The world demanded far too much from him and he gave far too much of himself.
I would have loved to see MJ use social media. He could have actually had control over the content he put out and set records straight by people hearing it directly from him. I don’t think Michael would’ve been well enough to have toured with This Is It so soon. The reason they were able to make This Is It so spectacular was because it was a residency. Michael was looking forward to his children’s hospital in New Jersey, and directing film. He said he had so many innovative ideas for film and directing. In ‘01 he said he really wanted to make videos for Unbreakable and Threatened. He would have spent time with his kids and brought them onstage like he said, so now that the world would have seen them he wouldn’t have to be constantly covering their faces out of the house. He could have more fun taking them out. He was looking into collaborating with newer artists, and overall making new great music.
I would have loved to see Michael fulfill his dreams. To help the children of the world, to build MJ Universe (his own family friendly Hollywood) and to raise his children and grandchildren. I would have loved to see him happy, to find his soulmate and live happily ever after without worrying about his career (he already was and IS the King).
That is truly what he deserved...I pray he is at perfect peace, and watching over his babies...💟💟💟

I have no doubt that Michael would go back to Ireland for long stays, but he wasn't going to live there. There is video proof that Michael was planning to buy a house in Las Vegas after he completed This Is It. And his bodyguards mentioned that in their book. Michael believed in his heart that that house was his, and that Las Vegas was going to be his new home.

I can't honestly say what I would've thought MJ would be doing but one thing that comes to mind is him in getting into creating movies and writing another biography extension of his previous book Moonwalk. But as far as anything else that's really like only God and Mike know that.
He would have went to rehab, got off drugs, and lived the rest of his life raising his children and avoiding the public.

After This Is It, I imagine MJ would’ve shifted focus to his family, movie making, and humanitarian work. In 2020, he’d help raise funds to help those affected by COVID-19 and find a cure. Wade and James would try to sue MJ, but it would fail miserably and “Leaving Neverland” would have never happened.

2009-2010 - ‘This is it Concerts’ are completed.
2010 -2013 - Taking a break from the industry. Spending time with his family and children.
2013-2015 - Michael reunited with the Jackson 5 for one last USA tour.
2016-2017 - Michael Jackson’s Final and Last Album is released.
2018-2020 - Michael Jackson’s Final World Tour ever to end his career officially.

As a manager, first of all I would have supported him and treated him like a normal person for the This is it concerts! And give him some more time to prepare himself and so on.
In the meantime (+ during after This is it), to finance ourselves I would sell some HD DvD of concerts and his films/music videos (even Captain EO) I mean, in the 2000 to 2010 HD quality has become more and more a standard and even further than the 2010s came 1080p and nowadays Full HD streaming is everywhere so investing in this would be good I think aswell as a special like "acapella" album like MJFanGirl mentioned or Live albums or even better promote something like the ultimate collection more where people will find unreleased tracks! And of course a *DANGEROUS 25*, History: future could have been awesome!

Then I would let him try doing his movie soundtracks and maybe some acting roles what he actually wanted to do and work his way up in the film industry I mean in an ideal world This is it would have been a sucess and he could have paid off his debts and be more chill going into the cinema world and during 2020 releasing some stuff on Netflix and other streaming services could have been a nice way to make money and Twitter/Instagram/TikTok dances is a great way for promoting stuff lol
And if this works or if he really don't want to make music like before with a full album and stuff which is very stressfull and expensive, collaborations with other artists could have worked great! I'm thinking about Kpop groups (which I am also a fan of) that always go viral would have been epic

If Michael Jackson’s death never happened, he would performed “This Is It” only for 10 shows instead of 50, he would’ve eradicated numerous amounts of so called debts these people trying to ruin him, retire as an artist and focusing on raising his kids and releasing his tours officially on DVD/BluRay like we deserved and whenever he can try to direct, act and produce in films like he wanted to. Plus he would’ve spread his message to heal the world like what happened in Japan due to tsunami, Haiti disaster, Conneticuit shooting, Ottawa attack, Chilean miners stuck underground, wildfires in Australia and nearly worldwide coronavirus outbreak.
"This Is It" would be his last tour.. he didnt want to perform on stage as singer and dancer anymore. So it really would be it. He would probably compose more songs and maybe even make albums but it would not be his main focus anymore. Also he never ever wanted to petform in Vegas... he hated this idea. He would totally concentrate on acting, making and producing movies and would probably become one of the best in that too. And he would probably work together with his son Prince who since little boy wanted to be a film maker... RIP MJ... LOVE U FOREVER MY ANGEL ❤

He was planning this type of one night only, personal concert as an HBO special in the 90s... he passed out during rehearsals and we never got it.
I simply don't see MJ in the social media world. His whole artistry echoed the classic Hollywood era and I think what happened in 2009 happened for a reason. Having performed from the age of 5 the man was completely drained of energy and perhaps creativity. You cannot expect more from him than what he gave, and it was a LOT. He already had the greatest reinvention in music history with Thriller, he changed his style, looks, sound and catapulted into mega stardom. I just want him to be a shining light of inspiration to humankind.
What fantastic thought.!! Wishfulthinking to have this amazingman here in 2020... My hope and wishes for him would be that he would have been given a chance to recover from all the trauma he had been through.. that he had time to get his strength back... to spend his time with his beautiful children and mostly that he was able to live a happy and healthy peaceful life!! The world would owe him that!!!. music wise.. I would have loved to have heard him do a live acoustic session as you mentioned..collaborate with few other artists.. I loved whatever happens with Santana..also to hear him Sing "fall again " live would be amazing.... He gave his whole life to us his fans and the world.. I would want nothing more for him but for him to have his life back xx losing him will always be a devastating loss xx

I can't imagine Michael ever getting old. The more time you spend on this evil planet the more you lose your soul... unfortunately. Although I was devastated when he died, I can honestly say I also felt a sense of relief like "finally he can rest, they have to leave him alone now, he is in a better place and what more could he give? Let's not be selfish and think about him, not me..."

What the music industry lacks nowadays is the soul and heart. MJ’s music had soul and heart. He performed for the fans and for his love of music. Artists that came after him only performed for fame, ego, and glory. Their music also lacked soul and heart. The songs artists produce today easily burn out and are forgettable.

- A classical music album
- He woulda had possibly a duet with Gaga at the time
- He woulda been the most followed person on all nascent social platforms
- He woulda won some more awards
- He woulda avoided the molestation charges of Wade and James
- He woulda bought a new home labeled as Wonderland
- He woulda made a religion harmony world anthem (We are the world 2 for the religious)
- The media would have killed him by some new negative rumors
- Some other artists impact wouldn't have been as inflated as it is now because of the void he left (Beyonce Gaga Adele Weeknd...)

I think he would’ve really enjoyed diving into the new elements of RnB and Trap Rap instrumentals. MJ was always a huge fan of Hip Hop and it would’ve been amazing to see how he would put his own spin to modern popular music. Similarly how he put his own spin to Hard Rock with Dirty Diana and Black or White. And how he had put his own spin on to disco 80s music such as with the Thriller album and how he had put his own spin to 90s RnB with Remember the Time. Oh man he would’ve enjoyed these new elements of popular music so much and would’ve created such great music. What a legend.

He gave us everything, he never took time for himself! Went everywhere,met everyone,gave almost all his money for charity...and in the end he had nothing!!
