    Hi Phil, thank you very much for taking the time to review our Masking Master tool. We truly appreciate the effort you put into creating the video and providing your honest feedback.
    We noticed a couple of areas where a slight adjustment could significantly improve your experience with the tool, and we'd love to offer some tips that might help. Firstly, it seems there might have been a small misunderstanding in how the core is inserted into the tape roll. This is a common issue and an easy fix! Inserting the core in the manner shown in our tutorial videos ensures it aligns perfectly with the leading edge of the tool, avoiding any deformation of the tape roll. We're confident this adjustment will enhance the tool's performance for you.
    Additionally, the type of tape used can indeed affect the tool's efficiency. Some brands or types have a special coating that increases friction with the tool's material. Trying a different brand or type with less friction might improve the alignment and overall experience. We've found that this makes a significant difference and would be happy to recommend some options if you're interested.
    We're here to support you in getting the best possible results with the Masking Master. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance. We're looking forward to seeing your amazing results!
    Thanks again for your review and for bringing these points to our attention.

I now feel my expectation is not a high as I was expecting having watched the "sales" video. They have been in touch with me and have sent me some different tapes to try. One thing to make you aware of is the way the tape gets fitted on the inner core. do it on a flat surface and press it down evenly onto it.
      see if that helps you ;)

    Definitely looked easier in the ad's. Didn't realise you had to reload each time. That would be a nice margin on a timber bead to get your glass lap, but too much for that window. I will keep doing it with a blade and roll of tape

  • @Colwray1
    @Colwray1 9 месяцев назад

    What I find works especially in this scenario… while holding the tape I use a very thin flexible filler knife about 4” put this between the tape and edge and pull the tape while having it pressed against the knife! Does exactly the same thing and sunny have to load every time… not 100% perfect but does a pretty good job good and minimal tidy up 👌 but great following up vid

    I've gotta say, phil. That looks like a load off faffing about to be honest. Any good dec can tape a straight line, i reckon much faster too. I'm pretty quick at it and a purdy 5 in 1 tool pessed down with a quick tare gets me those tight sharp corners no problem. I'd give it a swerve.

    I think it comes down to what you are using it for.
    I think for a window...maybe not. But I could see this being very useful in new builds or lower end repaints where we all know the walls are not straight and you need to create a line to make it look cleaner.
    we all know as painters that sometimes you need to make adjustments on the fly and the fact that it doesn't lay the ends down allow for adjustments to be made at the ends.
    I think it's a matter of common sense at the end of the day.

    Hi, Phill, I bought it to try it, you can only use it by leaning it against a wall or floor in the vertical and horizontal parts in the inner corners, it seems to have a limited usage area, it is not practical to use it in the outer corners, moreover, you have to rewind it every time, and it leaves a gab, sometimes you may not want a gap in this way, in addition, you can use it with a one size tape, this is another disadvantage, the logic is good but the cons are too many.I think it should be developed more,,🤔🤔😔

    I honestly couldn't watch the demo completely. I saw the end result and was frustrated for you. I would have that window masked and done in a couple minutes, with very very little gap if it's a new window. A roll of 1.25" tape, a pen knife blade and a hand masker with some 3m plastic masking and tuck the excess under itself any window and then tack it all up. Should take 2-3 minutes on smaller windows.
