Too much gap for me too Phil, must be 5mm from what I can see.. You will get a lot closer by hand. Plus every time you have to do a run you have that faf of setting up through the machine again.
Gaps too big for me. Machine is too big to follow surface undulations so you’ll get inconsistent gaps. Stick to hand taping much faster and you can follow any undulations.
After investigation i can see between 6:55 and 7:29 that the ring is sticking out of your tape so the tape cant roll flat on cover and thats the cause of 3mm gap. Manufacturer manual is showing flat surface between tape and ring. Im buying this
@@ProfessionalPainterDecoratoryea, also that when you flip it and then flip it and cut video and 6:49 in 0.25 speed when you flip it for the last time. I see 2mm. Busted!
Havent you tried to push the tape into that ring by cover of the body? Cuz the body looks like 1mm thick and youve got 3mm gap. Take calipers and measure it for me before i buy it
on their website there's a video of one of their guys putting it on the glass. And this video shows the huge gap between the wood and the tape on the glass. The idea is good but it doesn't work. Masking MAster.
Far too much gap for my liking I’m afraid… just as easy and better if just using take to press the side of the tape against that side and do the same… think it’s an overrated gimmick for me
If you look at top of unit it’s slightly wider right at the top then comes in, if he’d started below that slight lip then the tape would have been closer all the way down
Used Big blue one like these about 10 yrs ago, easier by eye and hand imo, good vid phil
Thanks 👍

Phil, sorry mate it’s a novelty product for diy’rs. Might come in handy to stop a mugging on a Saturday night ✌️

This is like a masking instructional video for toddlers 🤣
thanks for watching :)
Good video Phil. Too slow for pro's though.
Sorry about that. LoL
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator 😆👍🏻
Would it work without the lid on ?
you mean take it out the box?
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator
The lid to the machine is the thickness of that unacceptable gap.

Did you watch at 5:16 where I press the centre ring into the tape in a flat surface?

@@wykonczeni you've lost me. Buy one and let us know how you get on.

one the tape is on the ring..... as per instruction... it fits back in and thats it, you can't put it anywhere else, as its in possition.
@@ProfessionalPainterDecoratorthat was confusing cuz manufacturer is showing 1mm gap somehow. thank you, now i fully understand
Seems a faff and i wont buy one but good demo thanks Boss man.
You can’t seem to get less than 1mm gap.

well I've struggled with it.
Not a fan, its far quicker just doing it the old fashioned way. This just seems like a gimmick to me lol.
“Masking masker”?
Should run it on the unit side this way optically would work … still a gimmick
don't think I'll bother lol

Gap too big
Massive gap! Not for me Jeff.

Old school (free hand) my self
