    Excellent video, great ride.
I lived on the Monterey Peninsula from 1957 for another 46 years .
We often rode our Italian "10speeds" from Pacific Grove to the Big Sur State Park.
It would be rare to see more than 20 cars the entire ride.
Bixby Creek to Molera was a challenge as it was not "groomed" as it is now.

I imagine the only time it's just as quiet now is after a rock slide.

@@GravelBikeCalifornia Quite true, usually a year after a forest fire. This has happened several times over the years.

A hundred gravel videos and I've been waiting for someone to make that joke...

I've done this a bunch of times from Molera, the second climb is the "charm" and a burner until you hit the top. Not much bike traffic because it's WORK to ride it.

I would say not a beginner ride, but you can enjoy the views while hiking...

I'm confused I ride mountain bikes why the Gravel bikes at minimum on a mountain bike you have front suspension what's the difference I'm think of getting one help me with decision

A gravel bike is lighter and more balanced because it doesn't have the suspension. You don't have the extra weight up front. You can feel and read the surface better without the cushion. It rolls faster on rides where you have a mix of asphalt and gravel sections. Unless I'm doing really technical stuff, I prefer a gravel bike.
