And the last dude that shouldve done it was the one who did. Love Brock, but he def didn’t need it.
It shouldve never ended.
If not Taker or Vince, at least Brock should have taken the call to not end the streak.
What immortality?
Undertaker should’ve never lost smh
Nah he should have but in the perfect world it’s a sendoff match against an up and coming superstar. Randy would have been perfect and the only one that realistically should have if it was ever going to be broken. Brock and Reigns beating Taker was a joke though

Just a guy who would ask you what you thought of the game the night before.
Loved the edge and UT rivalry back then
The best one forsure
First time I ever heard Taker being called UT lol took me a sec
That was top 5 rivarly for Undertaket for sure

Edge could have been the guy to be like “heck ya! I’ll end it!” He could’ve been the guy talked about for generations to come. But he loves the business and probably has a level of respect for undertaker and chose not too. Adam Copeland is an amazing human being.
I meet him before he is really kind and spoke to me for 15 minutes like we were friends

Wow edge wearing Ghost tshirt 👏
Edge the legend telling it how it is.
Ending the streak is one of the worst mistakes in WWE history
By brock yes it should’ve always been Roman
@@fivestarraz Who?
It’s not. Undertaker at the age of 50 should not have beaten Brock lesnar who was ruthless in UFC. Undertaker losing the streak was the most realistic wrestlemania match ever till date.
@@catastrophe6837 I, respectfully, disagree. WWE isn't built on realism so the UFC argument isn't a good one. If that's the case, Cena shouldn't have beat Lesnar and no one should beat Mark Henry, Big E, or Braun since they are all men with strength records. I really do think the streak should be undefeated when The Undertaker retired.
@@bigdaddyjh2002 undertaker is boring tbh lol
I love that he said “whats it gonna do for me” cause at that time he already established himself as one of the best heels in the 2000s and then later down the line that year he won the fans over
The streak shouldn't have ended as a tribute to Undertaker.... really a poor decision
Shawn Michaels seems to be the only person that makes sense to end the streak. They gave it to a dominant part timer smh.
HHH made more sense. WM was Undertaker's baby. HIAC was HHH'S baby as he had an undefeated streak for a while. Story writes itself. They were the last Outlaws.
Randy orton for me personally, but when he had his match the streak was relatively new.
Had the streak gone on a little longer and randy was in his legend killer phase, it would’ve been perfect.
Negative... Shawn Michaels is the GOAT imo.... however... he shouldn't have ended the streak...i say that because of how late into HBK's career it was when he fought Taker..... they seem to be really high on Austin Theory... so i think a young up and comer should've been the one to get that rub... but he should've cheated to beat the streak... imagine the heat
Undertaker was nowhere near ready to retire so that would've only benefited Randy. Vince just brought back the Deadman at WM20 and he wasn't going to kill it off a year later. That's his favorite character and he hated the real Undertaker (American Badass).
So Orton winning under the Legend Killer vibe does nothing of benefit long term for both guys. When you think about it the Legend Killer gimmick was dumb because no one of Legend status at the time (Harley, Slaughter, Jake long retired) was regularly wrestling. So who did Randy kill? No one.
@@demarcuskane1392 The believable part timer was HHH. Someone of that era.
Just like Cena/Orton/Lesnar should've been each other's final curtain call of memorable WM opponent making moments.
Nothing like growing up and realizing just how committed Edge was to the business. He played the heel so well, and wanted to tell the best story possible.
I know right? As a kid, I hated his guts.
But now as an adult who knows better. I love the guy. He was very talented and had a passion for the business.
Guy a Dork
@@AgentRedgrave my friend I were most into WWE at the height of Edge and Vickie's on-screen affair. We talked about that so much that even my mom to this day will sometimes make a joke about them whenever WWE is mentioned.
I saw a clip from Kurt angles podcast and he talked about his heel run. He said “my goal as a heel was I wanted to be the heel that no redeeming qualities. I didn’t want one person to cheer me. I wanted people to think I was the slimiest, desperate, nasty guy. For edge, his whole goal is he doesn’t care about nothing but the title.” He succeeded for sure!
The fact that I actually loathed this man as a kid just shows how well he played his character
being in the main event and wrestling with the undertaker is something to be proud of
Ending the streak of The Undertaker is one of The wrost thing in WWE history . I hate Vince and Brock Lesnar for this
Hate is a strong word 😂 don’t be all ridiculous when even Undertaker holds no grudge against them
The streak should’ve never been ended. It just didn’t make sense to end it. It’s one of the most terrible decisions made by Vince.
Wasn't planned, Taker was unconscious
@@anthonydumebi8325 no Vince decided 4 hours before the match that brock was going to end the streak.
I think Brock ending the streak is the correct decision. The streak has to END at some point and Lesnar has Undertaker's numbers back in their rivalry at early 2000s
@@clxx1302 I agree
Unpopular opinion:
Brock or Randy is the best option to end the streak.
Because both of them had history with Taker so it was a perfect long term story telling..
The person who was supposed to break the streak had to be a "Made Man" & not some 3-4 year old rookie like Reigns..
this is why edge is a true legend and everyone including his peers love him ..
Bro people hate this man so much wdym im only only one who loves him and his peers lol

1. The Streak should’ve never ended

The streak should’ve never ended.
It should have never ended. Period. It was unique. It was cool and they just dismissed it like it was nothing
Disagree
Agree
It should have been Roman he was the only one that could benefit from it.
Exactly. The streak is what made undertaker legendary. Also from a story line perspecive, he's a "deadman" , super human being, that can't die. If it was basass undertaker, fair enough, but "deadman" losing, just makes no sense. You can't take away the aura away like that.
@@lacywhitfield9619 should’ve been no one. The streak was unique and it should’ve remained that way. The streak at wrestlemania was basically on the level of a championship belt. All those years of build up for nothing. When Undertaker lost he basically became like the rest of guys in the wwe.
Breaking the streak was the most wasteful decision of big decisions in WWE history…
It should have stood even after the undertaker retired
No but that it was brock was stupid roman should have going heel after wrestlemania 33.
Taker himself wanted it to end more than a few times so I don't think he would've liked to retire undefeated. It should've been Roman in hindsight.

What they did with Brock after he beat Taker made it worth it for me. Completely redeemed Cena jobbing him out at Extreme Rules and not even missing a ppv😂
Taker should never of lost, if he had to I think it should've either been Kane or Bray to beat him.

Should have never ended. Should have lived forever.
Even sadder when you remember that Brock didn't even want to end it and protested the plan. But Vince always has to get his way I guess.

The streak ended because taker got a dangerous concussion during his match with brock. It was wrestlemania so they couldnt just call it a draw. The true opposite of "that doesn't work for me brother" 😂👌
People are saying that the streak should've ended are the same people that wanted new stars to get pushed. Brock Lesnar beating the Undertaker's streak made him the "top boss" in WWE for almost a decade after. You get a big push just for wrestling Lesnar let alone a bigger push when you beat him. And it pushed Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, Finn Balor amongst others. Sometimes you gotta sacrifice legends to build new stars.
Damien priest vs the undertaker would’ve been a banger
“absolutely not” 😂
No hesitation
Bro just imagine Roman breaking the streak and after that becomes tribal chief but they didnt think of that at that time😮😮.
Roman wasn’t liked the way he currently is today. He was still a member of the SHIELD if I recall or he was just rebounding from the break up. When they started pushing Roman, it never felt genuine so they force fed him to us for a while. When he took on Brock at WM, so many people were booing the match. The only cheers that happened started when the beach balls were broken out.
The bump edge took of the top turnbuckle to the floor on the outside still hurts me and I only saw it .
