This week we are starting in the heart of the city at Union Square and also exploring the iconic tourist hotspots like Fisherman's Wharf, and visiting the famous sea lions at Pier 39.
We explore the hidden gems and diverse neighbourhoods that make San Francisco truly unique. From each unique area to stunning views of Alcatraz and the Bay Bridge, this adventure has it all (and it's all walkable!). So buckle up and come along as we share our experiences and insider tips for making the most of your time in this remarkable city.

    ► Who are we?
We’re Rob and James, partners in crime and life for over 10 years. We love travelling, exploring and being outdoors with our dog, Oscar.
For the past few years, we have spent a month in the winter in warmer climes but the pandemic put paid to that (for now) so we decided to explore more of our beautiful home country, the UK.
At the start of 2021, we purchased our first motorhome and boy, was it a steep learning curve. There was much we wished we had known both before and after we bought and so we decided to start this RUclips channel (as well as our website www.ontheroada...) in the hope we can share what we have learned and also share our mistakes and what we learn as we go along. Unlike many, we are relative newbies and want to share our honest journey with you.

Normally these places would be full with more tourists, but you've come at a bad time. San Francisco
is being deserted by the residents, shop owners, businesses big-and-small, tourists from near and far,
and several law-abiding citizens/residents as well. I didn't see many (any) police officers in this video,
but DO be glad *that you didn't need one* either. S-F is 700 police officers short, and criminals rule.
The best to you guys. /s/ Joel from San Francisco
