Easily one of the more painful coasters I’ve ever ridden. I went to Paris Disneyland a few years back and this was fairly disappointing, but I liked the loop. I thought the g-forces would keep me in my seat much more than how they actually did and I love the feeling of weightlessness
This seems like a cool ride, but it would be better if they added music to it, like the Indiana Jones theme. But they recently closed it for updating, so I hope it gets some new features.
I came here to say exactly this! Ever since I watched the movie as a kid, everyone talked about how awesome the mine cart scene was and how they wished a ride was made like that. Now they have their chance and THIS is what they do with it?! Where's the lava? The animatronic bad guys w swords? The missing track? Expedition Everest has a missing track, goes backward, mix that w some of the indoor special effects like big thunders cave scenes and a few animatronics and voile! Perfect!
+Dez Keiz I didn't notice the new audio, but now that I think about it there were new projection effects. Also I think that they no longer rotate the doors leading to the chamber of destiny. I rode it 6 times and only ever got the middle.
Me and my friend went on this and we were dying with laughter because everytime we put our head to one side, it would rebound continuously😂😂 Awesome ride, however slightly painful lol
This ride is not a thrilling one, but it was my first looping coaster ever. I think it is a very good one to start loving coasters with inversions. Plus, it was the first disney ride ever with inversion and opened in 1993 (if I am right) in order to reduce the queue in Big Thunder Mountain. They had to go fast to open it, so the theme is not really good. But what surprises me is that they have not added theme elements yet. DLP has just started renovations (first : Space Mountain in January, all renovations go until mid-2017) + some elements will be added (explosive elements in Big Thunder Mountain), and absolutely nothing for this ride, which disappointed me.
how come all the videos I see of Disneyland Paris it seems as if no one is in line? I'm a Disneyland passholder since 99 and can't even walk without bumping in to someone nowadays.
I almost got a concussion on this ride! My head kept banging against the shoulder restraints every time we took a turn, and it was not comfortable at all. The US ride is way better. :(
If you get in one of the great seats (I found it to be the very front and, surprisingly, the very back), the ride is actually quite smooth (but you have to get on it really early in the morning before the trains start flying around the track)!
missystar013 This. I've been on it yesterday and my head kept banging against the shoulder restraints too. Gave me a nasty headache for the rest of the evening,
FUN FACT: Disneyland California was originally supposed to get both a better themed version of this *and* the "Temple of the Forbidden Eye" ride, but budget cuts brought on by Splash Mountain's construction ended up downsizing the project so that only Forbidden Eye got built instead. They also had the exact same plans for Disneyland Paris as well, but since that park didn't exactly have a smooth start financially, the original plans not only got scaled back just like at Disneyland California, but they also ended up getting the total opposite of what Disneyland California got...
I could tell by the things that you have to hang on to if the roller coaster is gentle or not.If the roller coaster has these things to pull towards you, It's not that bad. If it has these things to pull down, It's insane like Indiana Jones et le temple du péril or like Space Mountain.
@Sab RCrider I just got back from there. I like how this park is more spread out then Disneyland California and like quite a few of their rides better. Only thing is its not as kept up as much as the US parks some things were not working or lights were out on signs ect.
Deathbyillusion Almost none of their rides are better for Disneyland Paris. Also it is much better that Disneyland is less spread out since that means that there is a lot more stuff. Now Thunder Mountain used to be better in DLP but now with the new effects DL has it better. Also pirates is not as good as DLs and phantom mannor doesnt even compare to the original Haunted mansion. Also fantasland rides are much better in DL and they have more, the only exception here is the storybook boats and the casey junior train. Buzz is pretty much the same but DLs is better kept so they win. Autopia is much bigger at DL but at least its not as bad as Magic Kingdom. Space Mountain, yes might be more thrilling but it is in no way better then Disneyland's, it has got so much more story and theme and the soundtrack is so much better. Lastly dont get me started on indiana jones. While Disneyland has the immersive, amazing and revolutionary dark ride, DLP has this, a cheap thing to add thrills.
This coaster might not be the most well-themed one for an INDIANA JONES ride but for a jungle-ruin etc. rollercoaster it's actually pretty nice. I happen not to be one of the greatest INDIANA JONES fans so I enjoyed it having a smaller relevance to the movies! I would like to point out that I really adore the queue line! It's amazing and it gets right into the mood and feel of the attraction. Generally I enjoyed the moderate duration and the immersive queue line as well! * I also didn't find it to be rough as many of you say in the comments and I don't believe that it should be removed! A big refurbishment could make this rollercoaster much more famous and loved than it is right now...!
With a refurbishment this ride could be amazing. They can replace the over the shoulder restraints with a lap bar and add more dark ride elements to it.
Omg I was closing my eyes da whole time so then when it came to da loop I thought I was passing out...My uncle thought that he wouldnt warn me for the a joke... 😂
My first experience on this ride was horrible , we waited for an hour to go on just for it to be a short standard rollercoster , not to mention how your neck gets thrown from side to side.
deathbyillusion ho, but now, we can see how many attraction is close on this website: www.disneylandparis.fr/informations-pratiques/avant-votre-visite/horaires-parcs-et-spectacles.html
***** j'y suis aussi allée cette année et c'était aussi fermé, mais on m'a dit que c'était pour des travaux, maintenant il devrait être réouvert ;) (enfin j'espère, j'y vais vendredi)
Nice video, thanks for sharing aswell uploading. Never actually ridden or experienced this coaster & attraction myself, but maybe one day I will get the opportunity to do so? But good video and yeah. Look forward to seeing more videos like this in future on this channel. Have both Liked & Subscribed. :)
Il à un peu vieilli mais il est génial :D Un bon vieux Looping Coaster d'Intamin. It's now an old coaster but I love it :D A good, but old, Intamin's looping coaster.
There are at least 3 rollercoasters at DLP that go upside down. Rock n Rollercoaster, Space Mountain, and this ride. Disneyland has one. Disneyworld has one
The track layout of the Indiana Jones is copied from the first looping roller coaster built by the Pinfari company. Pinfari called this a TL-59, the TL stands for "The Loop" and the 59 is for the ride's 59m width. This Intamin version copies the course, but uses a track style that is unique to Intamin.
Easily one of the more painful coasters I’ve ever ridden. I went to Paris Disneyland a few years back and this was fairly disappointing, but I liked the loop. I thought the g-forces would keep me in my seat much more than how they actually did and I love the feeling of weightlessness

Nope i went there on the before last Christmas vacation and they didn't change a thing!!!
Yeah I went on it in 2020 and them made it cooler
I can't believe they didn't make this one indoors (like in a cave or tunnel), they could have made it actually fit the movie.
I came here to say exactly this!
Ever since I watched the movie as a kid, everyone talked about how awesome the mine cart scene was and how they wished a ride was made like that. The ride begins at 2:28
Thank me later👍🏼
Thanks u

I'm so glad you went here, the only pov's are from TPR and they can't ride a ride without narrating their every thought.
Yes I agree.
earlyatnite it's called muting your volume
Stop complaining about TPR's way of making POVs. Imagine how boring it would be if you didn't have robb alvey acting like a goof in the background.
WillKeene no i only like to hear the ride noises not some overgrown oaf going “LOOP DE LOOP”
Cool looking Coaster, But it has nothing to do with Indiana Jones. At least install some speakers and play the theme.
+Dez Keiz Exactly my thoughts. The California ride is much better.
Especially with the recent updates.
What do you mean? I was just there last week and I've been going to Disneyland since I was 1. I didn't notice anything new.
The Statue of Mara has new projection effects and they replaced the track. Better Audio.
This really isn't up to Disney's normal standards. Just a plain old roller coaster.
Rachel Hook I mean it’s in Disneyland Paris so that might have something to do with it
DAMN THAT WAS MY FAV RIDE, I LOVED THE DROPS AND THE LOOP. YE TWIT
Afflicted15 Disneyland paris aint bad lol if that is what u mean
It was supposed to be temporary or sth
This ride is not a thrilling one, but it was my first looping coaster ever. I think it is a very good one to start loving coasters with inversions. This is also what Disneyland Californa originally WAS supposed to get.
+Deathbyillusion I know right
Thank Goodness it didn't! Temple of The Forbidden Eye is a masterpiece of engineering and storytelling; this is not.
I went on this ride back in 1997 when I was 10 and I remember having a sprained back for a few days after doing the loop.
My second
how come all the videos I see of Disneyland Paris it seems as if no one is in line? I'm a Disneyland passholder since 99 and can't even walk without bumping in to someone nowadays.
You a annual passholder for Disneyland California or Disneyland Paris?
Salicious Bum He filmed this before opening time, I assume.
With this video you get the complete experience even the line!!
This was my first upside down rollercoaster. I couldn't believe it went upside down until I got on it, had to be backwards didn't it! =D
Went on this like 5 times and everytime i left my head felt like it was gonna explode
This is basically a Wildcat or Galaxie coaster with a loop.
Yeah but I don't think Intamin did a very good job building this ride :D
I went on this after a 50 minute wait and didn't know there was a loop until I was almost back around 😂😂😂

JustinRM
Glad it wasn't just me!
My friend had the exact same thing on here, but i was completely fine... I don't understand what causes it to happen to some and not to others 😓
Same with space mountain
So cool
When I was in this ride back in 2000 (15 years ago!) the ride went backwards through the rails. Now it doesn't?
Not anymore, they took it off
This ride is SO painful they need to remove it.
sukiesoya I know, me and my friend were sat at the front like in the video and she whacked all her nose and I hit all my arm
I don't think they have to remove the ride I think you should be at least 1m 60 to ride it
I don't think they should remove it I think they should just give it lapbars
İkr my neck hurt for a couple of days
sukiesoya ye I was hurting quite a bit but still enjoyed it
FUN FACT: Disneyland California was originally supposed to get both a better themed version of this *and* the "Temple of the Forbidden Eye" ride, but budget cuts brought on by Splash Mountain's construction ended up downsizing the project so that only Forbidden Eye got built instead.

WOW ..Didn't know that! :-O
Dissappointing though the end result in DL Paris, hope they'll import the original Dark Ride from the States , soon
I really like seeing the queue lines for some reason. Especially with these complete experience videos.
I was in Disney land Paris as well and I hurt my neck on the loop bit.they go to fast but it is one of the best roller coasters
Yup even my head was swaying here and there the whole time when taking turns...it was very fast.. but it was good 😊
I love your vids! Been wait for some Disney Paris POVs, and here they are! Love it!
Thanks!
i remember walking up to this place and seeing no looping tricked my little brother he went with me lmao

Maybe they're so posed to be out to make it look old
You should do a qna

Deathbyillusion This was a great roller coaster! That was my 1st inversion: a 360 grad looping!
redique No..
15 fois d'affilée... avec 0 min d'attente.. Super mais au bout d'un moment plus de sensation.. Super vidéo 👍
the ride hit my piercing on the top of my ear and knocked it out. I couldn’t even focus on the rest of the ride.
Team France en force
This coaster might not be the most well-themed one for an INDIANA JONES ride but for a jungle-ruin etc. rollercoaster it's actually pretty nice. This was the first roller coaster I'd ever been on...when I was younger. =3
Great vid. ^^
This is the most underrated ride in the park, the maximum time i waited for this ride is 20 minutes or someting. Still awesome though
With a refurbishment this ride could be amazing. They can replace the over the shoulder restraints with a lap bar and add more dark ride elements to it.
This was the first roller coaster I went on with a loop
Well what they do is make you pull up on your restraints and pull on the yellow tab seat belt. They just dont do that for you.
dey do dat evertime
+Deathbyillusion are the restraints the one that are around you shoulders?
Yes they are over the shoulder restraints.
SpongeSquid 0444 yes
AttractionSpot u never scream like at all
Dude ur videos are awesome
Thank you so much!
Went to Disneyland in the summer- going again at Easter, but this was one of my favourite rides, especially because the queues were sooooo short!
I was in Disneyland the last week end and Indiana Jones was closed :'(.
Me too!!! I've just arrived home today and it opened this morning so I got a go :)
Ok thx, but i think i can return to Disneyland Paris the next year, so i hope no attraction will be closed.. And i live in France x)
***** When I was there Buzz Lightyear was closed.
deathbyillusion ho, but now, we can see how many attraction is close on this website:
www.disneylandparis.fr/informations-pratiques/avant-votre-visite/horaires-parcs-et-spectacles.html

I can't wait to do this one
Il à un peu vieilli mais il est génial :D Un bon vieux Looping Coaster d'Intamin.
It's now an old coaster but I love it :D A good, but old, Intamin's looping coaster.
This ride was crazy fun! 😀
This ride is amazing I went on it 2 weeks ago
I am going to try this ride when I go on Friday this week
J'l'ai fait, c'est géant!! Et 2 tours d'affiler en plus!
You where at Disney the same time as I was, I go every November I'm from England
That's awesome!
That decor is amazing!!!!
Yes!
Wow! When did you was there? It is so not busy there!
I just got back.
At 1:32 is that a Half Trashcan?!?
Yes it was I was just as confused as you were. I didn't check to see if it worked though.
ive been on this 3 times when i went to Paris ! I loved it....Its so fast
First ever upside down/loop rollercoaster!
Uytiiuuohgvc. Nnkkllljfxssjnjyk . 9
2:33 in the ride starts your welcome guys
Tellement hâte d’être vendredi et Samedi 😍
Hi Guys I'm going to Disneyland this Summer Holiday and I don't know if I should go on this ride or not.
Did intamin use RCT3 to design this!?
They copied the design of the Pinfari TL-59
X Parks
Why would an amazing company like Intamin get inspired by a TERRIBLE company like Pinfari?
Why does Disney get the terrible manufactures get a b&m coaster or a intamin or wait dey been using vekoma no wonder
There are at least 3 rollercoasters at DLP that go upside down. Rock n Rollercoaster, Space Mountain, and this ride. Disneyland has one. Disneyworld has one
i dont think space mountain goes upsidedown
my dad made me go on this.I cried.but it turned out to be not scary just fun.
Are you planning to ride Symbolica at the Efteling sometime?
Didn’t this ride used to spin once and you’d go backwards? It’s what I remember from the early years (like 4-5 years of existence)
Disneyland Paris seems more thrilling than Disneyland in Anaheim
It is
I really want to go on this now.
You should!
I went on this it was scary at first but Then I loved it
This ride is epic!!
correct me if I am wrong but this is basically pre-fab coaster with some Disney theming added?
Yes.
日本でインディの横に作るってなった時に2つインディをテーマにしたアトラクションがあるとおかしいってなってこのアトラクションからインディの要素を引いたのかディズニーシーのレイジングスピリッツ。
Yea
What??
you what????crazy.wwwww
This was my first inverted coaster but I'm sure it went backwards, but it was back in 2000 that I went on it
skinnarbi This isn’t an invert...
the most embarrassing moment of my life hapened in that very cue. involving a fence, boxes and urine...
? uhm?
Uhhhh no no
Brings back memories
Thanks so much :)
I sure hope it’s more fun than it looks
Never seen a Wild Mouse coaster with a loop...
😂🤣😂
Not a wild mouse cos the trains seat more than four but yes there are a few with loops.
Love that ride, wish I was still there 😫
インディージョーンズかと思ったら日本版で言うレイジングスプリッツでした!ww
This ride has really good theming
I was expecting a piece of track to be missing just like in the film! :-)
Disneyland Paris feels like Disney have given up on
With these resorts, do you prefer to stay onsite? If so, does that save money more times than not?
are you going for Halloween
My favorite ride in disney yet
have u even been on rock'n'roller, tower of terror of space mountain.
AgentMidgetz without launch i must say
Thanks
This ride would be a lot better with a darkride part like disneyland ca
Tha would be nice!
In 2009 I was too short
In 2012 I was tall enough but too chicken
Now this summer in 2014 I'm so going on it lol :))
is this roller coaster scary????I mean the drops...is it scary for someone who is really afraid of heights?
I went for one week and cues are massive
Who remembers when this went backwards?
I loved the earlier version of this attraction when it was backwards! Now I don't find it as exiting as it used to be 😔
This was the first ever rollercoaster i actually got sick from when i rode it in 2004. I must have been only 10...
This looks a great ride! It reminds me of a mirrored "California Screaming" in places. Probably the same crew that worked on that one :-)
That was great
looks great
THIS is an Indiana Jones ride?! It's a rollercoaster with some window dressing....we might as well be at a Six Flags park!!
AISH IMMA GONNA GO IN AUGUST!! LIKE HELL YES!
I believe they sourced the track from Southport Pleasureland in 1974. Not before the Summer season on Clacton Pier in 1963.
Didn't this ride used to go backwards too? Vaguely remember something like that
I thought the seat was loose :O and I was on the ride with my English teacher and I was screaming it was so embarrassing XD
Disney Anaheim 100 times .. My fav ride !
Nice
