I was so confused after watching the story that unlocks after first puzzel in Lost Current but after playing Lucia's interlude I was able to put 2 and 2 together to realize who Luna and Crimson Abyss are, but since I'm a new player it felt like a major spoiler for the story

Alpha's reason:
Even though she become ascendant, she dosen't use the virus's power, she trained herself to be strong without relying to it.
Luna will have to explained on either Chapter 13 or interlude.
I don't think there's any lore explanation. I think they'd just want us to use them more with construct comps
